Default Delivery time: Pittsburgh

I know this is subject to change, but I did a search and did not see much. Looking for any feedback on delivery time to Pittsburgh PA. My car is scheduled to be built Thursday and was wondering what everyones experience has been. Longest I have heard was 8 weeks and shortest was 9 days.
Any input appreciated.
Thank you.

Depends on what other cars are coming your way. I’d say no more then 2 weeks based on my delivery to Ohio., but that was December. My car was the only one the dealer got delivered. But there’s a big dealer in the area so sure they got most of the cars on the truck.

What config did you get? I'm just north of Pittsburgh and would love to take a peak when it arrives.

I'm a little north of there too and my C7 took about two weeks from production to my dealer. I expect the same this time too. Hopefully spring rains wash away all the Penndot anti-skid, and don't get me started on the archaic tar and chip program.

Thanks for the comments guys. I hope it is as little as two weeks. I currently live in Mt. Lebanon.
I got a RED MIST with LT2 interior that is natural dipped. I passed on the Z51 as I do not track and really do not like the look of the wing. I have some great forged wheels I will be putting on as well. See you all at the cruises!!!

I live in the Pittsburgh area near the airport. My car was shipped yesterday afternoon and arrived at my dealer this afternoon. Mine and another was on the tail of a truckload bound for Nashua NH where the rest was to be unloaded. This is my 3rd new Corvette from this dealer and this one was 5 days since it rolled off the production line with a weekend in between, last one was 6 days and the one before that was 4 1/2 weeks as it was stuck in QA. I don't think it's shipping the car, I think it's contingent on how much time it takes the car to go from 3800 (Produced) status to 4000 (Ready to Ship). After that a day or 2 on the truck is what it should take to get here.

BTW, I hear Car's & Coffee is starting back up after taking 2020 off for COVID. Understand first one will be Saturday May 8th at Generoasta Coffee in Warrendale. Maybe an initial C8 meet and greet there?

Ok with all the Pittsburghers here, where are you guys getting your C8s serviced? I am in the North Hills of Pittsburgh with closest dealers being Baierl in Wexford and Cochran in Zelienople. But I don't think these dealers sell/service many Vettes. I was thinking of Sun in McMurray but that is a bit of a distance for me. Any other suggestions?

Let me know.

My C8 should be built at the end of April--bought at Kerbeck.

I hope to have my Rapid Blue C8 delivered in time for the first PGHCNC. Hopefully I can park near you.

(still 3000 status, but it’s a February allocation so I have hope)

Check out McElwain's Chevy in Ellwood City. Not only are the owners Corvette guys and collectors, they have a first class service dept and I never had any concerns servicing my C7. They will treat your car like its theirs and I won't go anywhere else. Small town dealer with not a big allocation number but they are my favorite.

Any recommendations for a reliable tire shop? I live near Wexford and I know sooner or later tires will need alignment (I do not track the car) or replacement (given how bad our roads are).

Not sure where to go for alignment but for tires I saw on Horse Power Obsessed on YouTube (he lives in the Pittsburgh area somewhere) he used GO MOBILE TIRES and they came right to his house to mount new tires onto his aftermarket wheels and installed them onto his C8 right in his driveway. I think he also had new tires done on his '19 ZR1 too. He seemed to be very happy with the service he got and I think it was something like $30 a tire. Here is the phone number I added to my contact list at the time (412) 880-7747 because I plan on doing aftermarket wheels too (first Corvette of 15 I have bought that will go aftermarket on the wheels).

My '21 C8 coupe just landed at the dealer Wednesday afternoon and will be delivered on a trailer to my house next Tuesday. Wheels on order from MMR hopefully are on the way soon. Just need to open up my wallet again at Tire Rack for the all-seasons so I can use the car when it goes below 40. Here is what I am getting:

Default PPF Question in Pittsburgh

Anyone get Xpel done on their C8 in the Pittsburgh area? I see Blackout Tinting in Latrobe is on YouTube but they seem to be too busy watching their YouTube posts and it's a good long drive to get there for me. Thinking using Prestige Auto Armor in Valencia, anyone use them? I've got quotes from both companies but would like to hear if anyone else has had experience with either or others in the area.

Blackout hasn’t done my car, but they have wrapped a few of my friends’ exotics and I can’t say enough about their work. I’ve been to their shop a few times and have seen them at work. I agree their social media accounts can turn you off (I personally follow and unfollow constantly), but I don’t think I’d trust anyone else in the Pittsburgh area.

Again, I’ve never had work done by them personally, but I know many who have and swear by them. I’d make the trip out to Latrobe if you want it done right.

Thanks for the suggestion. Btw, beautiful wheels you are getting.

FYI...I spoke to Justin (Service/Parts Director) at Troy-Allen in Slippery Rock yesterday.. I think he said they bought a new alignment machine specifically for the C8s.
