Stuff we buy while waiting for allocation
Okay, for all of us on various dealer wait lists (e.g., Kerbeck, MacMulkin, Criswell, etc), what are we buying for our new C8s as we wait for allocation? I'll start:

Good question from OP on what to buy for the C8, and it made me looking back to see all the stuff I have bought for my C8 ever since taking the delivery, and here let me share with you in two groups, one I think it's necessary or preferred or highly recommended, and the other is optional and more personal style preferences...
1. Necessary/preferred/recommended:
2. Optional/personal preferences:
So yeah, even after you spending 80-100K for the car, it will keep sucking money from your pocket (or bank account to be precise)
I'd love to hear others sharing what else they have bought for their C8s - either essential or just personals style choice, or superfluous and just for fun....
1. Necessary/preferred/recommended:
- Metal sheet from customgrills to make the front grill covers to protect the radiator, and while you are at it, might as well also do the same for the two side openings behind the door scopes (see my posts on those);
- Hex bit set and low-profile wrench for taking off the bottom cover to install the radiator mesh -
- Jack pug - I also bought the same one as the OP above - low cost, well made, and thin enough to leave it on the car and won't catching things on the ground -
- A SD card for the PDR -
- An USB key for playing music, especially if you have your own music libraries that you like to listen, or you prefer listen to high quality music from lossless rips -
- License plate frame (since C8 doesn't come with one) -
- Battery maintainer - and (or other brand)
- Key FOB cover to protect the FOBs -
- Wheel locks -
- Beam style torque wrench for installing the locks and also for future wheel changes, etc. to be able to tighten the bolts to a more precise torque of 140 ft-lbs -
- A tow hook to keep in the car in case the car has to be towed;
2. Optional/personal preferences:
- AvalonKing (or similar 9H) ceramic coating kit for doing the ceramic coating yourself, and
- For holding mobile phones on the dash to use Google Maps for navigation, if you are like me who prefer to use Google Maps rather than car's navigation map -
- To install radar detector powered from the rear view mirror (see my post on how to)
- A set of pry tools to help install the radar wires behind the mirror, and also can be used for installing the light-up door sills -
- An electrical pressure washer for easy car washing -
- A set of cleaning stuff:
- A sunglass holder that can clip to the sun shade -
- A set of metal valve stem cap and a key holder -
- Decorating Z51 sign - this one is superfluous and only for meaningless decoration -
So yeah, even after you spending 80-100K for the car, it will keep sucking money from your pocket (or bank account to be precise)

5 spoke black wheels, all season floor mats, new microfibers towels and pads so far. I will be getting some jack pucks and probably the radiator screens in the next few months. I need to look into a small lift so I don't have to jack up 1 point at a time,,,

HRE FF11 wheels, tow hooks, jacking pucks, PDR SD card, strut tower covers, spanner wrenches, engine cover decal kit, C8 Jake decals and license plate holder. Still deciding on which grille kit. Also thinking about Race Ramps and/or QuickJack.
