Yep. Did it with my 2017 Grand Sport, Wife's X5 BMW SUV and my C8. They will write down the info on each tire. Good from when you get it. Says 3 years but was told they only go by max 2/32 inch thread depth. Standard deal all in their computer. They look up you car and tire option and will quote a number. Much cheaper than GM BUT does not include wheels. They get tires at wholesale prices and in most cases will just fix a flat free BUT if nail etc is within 1 inch of the side wall it "requires" a new tire.

My experience is they don't hold you to the 3 year time period as long as the tires are not 10 years past the manufacture date on the sidewall.

A lot depends on the shop, as they’re independent. I have 5 DT shops within 20 min radius & each one will give a different price for mounting and balancing the same tires. I brought my tires purchased from Discount Tire Direct to the closest shop and they tried to charge me $250 for mounting & balancing because I brought the tires in. I had to show them the receipt from DTD & it suddenly dropped to $84. The road hazard certificates can also be different prices depending on the shop. I call around first.

If you decide to get it, make sure you compare prices. These are high profit margin contracts for the dealership. You can get them for a substantial discount. Try Todd at MacMulkin and Dennis at Laurel Chevy.

I just bought the tire/wheel insurance from a dealer. Your comment on your wife driving the car has helped me feel better about spending the money. I was starting to regret my decision but thinking about my wife driving a C8 solo (or any corvette) makes the insurance sound necessary. Thanks for brining that up.

Got my tire/wheel warranty through Fitchner. He had "special holiday pricing" back in December. I don't have any DT's near me. Previously had a wheel/tire from a 3rd party that I bought from a dealer. I think it was Maxima tire & wheel. Used them for 2 flat repairs and 1 bent rim repair. I went with GM because with MAG I had to get authorization, pay first, then get reimbursed. I figured with the GM plan, there's a dealer in every town.
