Last Day to Order 2021 C8 - June 17, 2021

A very confusing article. It lists the final 2021 production date as June 17th, but adds the "actual" date is "to be determined". then adds, "with no build-out date listed for the 2021 model year, GM does have some flexibility to extend it out further depending on what those final consensus numbers will be.", so is June 17th, the final production date or not?...

Not a final production date, but a final day to submit orders for allocations given. This may or may not also be a cut off for changes, but you're supposed to be able to make changes until your allocation is at 3000 status.
The article thinks this could signal a final production in August making the June 1 allocation about a quarter worth of cars. This seems reasonable, and not too surprising, since they retained the msrp for 2021. GM probably wants to start pushing the bottom line.

With the final DOSP for 2021 Corvettes coming on June 17th, we believe that the 2021 Corvette model year will likely end sometime in mid-August.

Will dealers get any allocations for May. I hope so. Based on last orders due June 17, it looks like a lot of rollovers from 2021 wait lists to 2022, with probably a nice price increase for the 2022. Can't wait.
