Average Age of C8 Buyers:Result of Poll
I hijacked the thread from Red08 “Average Age of C8 Buyer?”. O.K RedC8???
There were 147 responders to the age question as of Feb. 13 @4:35 PM. I crunched the numbers and came up with the following stats.
Average (mean) age = 57.5
Median age = 60.0 (equal # of more and less of 60 YOA)
Age range of responders was 21 to 93
20-29 YOA = 6.1%
30-39 YOA =12.2%
40-49 YOA =15.0%
50-59 YOA =15.0%
60-69 YOA =21.1%
70-79 YOA =25.9%
>80 YOA = 4.8%
Anybody surprised?

I'm hoping to have my first Corvette in time for the 68th birthday (September) I should make it, I'm in the low 500's at MM. I've always thought that it's a shame that by the time one can afford a 'vette the people are too old (don't have the reflexes) to be able to drive one (as intended). The poll shows it. 1/2 those who are buying them are over 60 yrs old.
If you think that you're over 60 and still have the reflexes you had at 30, you're only fooling yourself. .. Now experience IS worth something, but...

2023 Corvette of the Year Finalist - Modified
2022 C1 of the Year Winner - Modified
C1 of Year Finalist (performance mods) 2019
Zormecteon - I’m also 68 and expecting my C8 from MM.
two thoughts....
1. How many of the people in the over 60 group are buying their first Corvette? This will be my 5th
2. Ok, reactions may not be as good as 30 year olds.... but I still play Racquetball, Pickleball and competitive Softball, sometimes against 30 somethings...

Wow!
Hope the younger guys that are able, keep buying Corvettes. Having always had these cars, some with good horsepower. I still appreciate there performance. Would readily admit that reflexes not the same as when got first one at 21, but now have patience to get to know the car well before trying outer limits! Spring Mountain should help that a bit 🤨

First vette 27. I took delivery of my C8 just stay my 40th bday almost a year ago. Vette gets you through the crisis it's not a result of it.

I ordered my C8 which is my first Corvette a week after the initial reveal of the coupe and a couple of months before my 60th Birthday. I thought it was mandatory at 60 to buy a Corvette... just like moving to Florida....

Had my first vette in my 20s, still in my 30s now.
I don't think the C8 is an old mans car, those numbers seemed skewed but then again who knows.
I know C7 and C6 owners are relatively old lol
