GM should stop selling/giving their c8s to rappers for promotions. It’s destroying the image. All these ugly candy paint c8s popping up online with hideous and heavy forgiato/Giovanni big wheels. These are GT sports cars not donks. Even saw two of these clowns going back and forth about “who had forgiatos first on their c8”..pathetically ghetto

Horrible doors. Only 5 posts on this forum and 3 are you asking people to watch your videos. Not a good look, just like those doors.

If nothing else, this video shows the need for putting the front mesh grill covers on to protect the radiators.

Honestly I dont get the hate for doors like that. To me, it seems like it would ease ingress/egress in tight spots and besides when it's closed (99.95% of the time) you wouldnt even know it's there.
Forget about the original poster for a moment....Objectively, what is the main complaint about them?

Wow....still a bunch of haters here, which is damn sad.
People, IT"S NOT YOUR CAR. The OP bought the car-he has the right to put any doors on his car that he chooses.
I'm waiting for someone to make a Lamborghini hinge that doesn't require you to push the door out and then up.
OP, it looks like you guys did a good job on the installation. I hope these hinges do the trick for you.

Youre not going to suppress my opinion, sorry. It’s ugly and tasteless. It’s bad for the image and I don’t care who you are. They did that same crap to the Chrysler 300 and look how that went. You don’t like my opinion, cool but don’t try to base my character on an opinion.

It is certainly different. I would have to see the doors being used. Do they make it easier to get out and in? If not, then not interested.
I notice the windows are down, we never see anyone getting in and out.

GM was looking to attract younger Corvette buyers with their mid-engine C8...

I personally wouldn’t do it, but good for the owner,
of he likes it that all it matters,
I prefer to see C8 with Lambo doors, than 90 year old mans corvette with chrome junk all over.

I think they look good on the C8, congrats!
If someone developed a “dihedral” door kit (like a McLaren) I would get that.
Definitely makes ingress and egress easier in tight parking spots and in low height cars. 570s doors are very sturdy too so I always wonder about the longevity of the out and up kits vs. true “Lambo” doors.

Neat to see the How To install. But you have to open the door a lot before it lifts vertically. I open mine about the same amount when I park next to my Street Rod in the garage. That is enough to have an easy entry/exit.
Yep the door opens further but really no need. Easier to get in and out of the C8 than my C7s with the seat and steering wheel in the exit position.
