Radiator andSide vent protective Shields

If a rock was smaller than the openings on the screen, it will still hit the radiator fins. With many cars and a fleet of trucks, we have never had road debris hit a radiator and cause a leak. Must be the luck of the Irish ☘️ Have had a few cracked windshields. Maybe we need windshield screens.
just a thought. If you have bent fins on your radiator that bother you, get a fin comb. Used in HVAC indrustry for decades.

I have both screens and will install when I get the car home from the Auto Spa.
I think it is mostly for looks but it will keep out the larger trash. The looks thing is more (to me) prevalent on the side intakes.
YMMV

Fin comb will not work on these radiators. Too narrow and too soft. I used a dental pick to straighten the fins before I installed grills with screen mesh glued on them.
Warranty issue? Very unlikely. And the aftermarket solution is easy to remove. Plus you know there is a temperature gauge in these cars.
