Yes they both use the PF-64. You can also use the UPF-64R.

It can be used non issue. We run them on my brother's 2019 Camaro ZL1 with zero issues. I use the UPF63R on my 2019 truck. The UPF-64R even comes up in the GM parts catalog on the LT1/LT4/LT5 engines in the C7 as an alternate filter vs. the PF64. They can be used.
UPF63R and 64R and all of the other Ultraguard Gold filters have a higher burst rated can, synthetic filter media, and higher quality construction.

There was a recent discussion about this on the C7 Z06 forum and this was the best response that convinced me to keep running the factory spec filter for my car. In the end, just be sure the filter you use has the correct psi bypass to prevent oil starvation.

For sure, this can be a little confusing. The oil filter by-pass pressure setting refers to the pressure drop across the filter.
For example, if the oil pressure entering the filter is 80 psi and the pressure exiting the oil filter is 60 psi, the pressure drop across the oil filter is 20 psi and the by-pass valve in the PF64 will not open. But if you were using a filter with a 15 psi by-pass valve (PF48, RP 10-48, etc), it would open and send unfiltered oil through your engine needlessly.
Now if the pressure entering the filter is 80 psi and the pressure exiting is only 50 psi, then the PF64 by-pass would open to keep from starving the engine for oil.
However, If you use a filter with too high of a by-pass valve rating, such as a UPF64R (35 psi), and you had the same situation as above, you might starve the engine for oil since the by-pass would not open.

Ultraguards just get synthetic filter media, higher quality valves, and higher pressure burst can. Note the tip section under the image. The UPF48R can be used where the PF48 is used. Internal components are the same.
