OK, I can appreciate that Chevy decided to give a C8 Model as a "Gift" to 2020 buyers (not sure if this is continuing), however as nice a gesture as it was supposed to be, Wow, what a disappointing model. Basically, it's a hunk of metal covered in some kind of red/orange plastic that barely looks like a car never mind a Corvette. After seeing so many ads for detail accurate inexpensive models, I find it surprising how "cheap" a gift this is for a car most of us paid well over $75K to purchase. I would not be proud to display or show this model to anyone.
It would not surprise if me if GM stopped sending them, because of ungrateful people like you. I think my children learned at about 4 that being ungrateful for a gift is just rude, maybe younger.

Basically a paper weight with your model and vin and the Porsche badge. I have mine sitting on a shelf collecting dust. If Canadians get the free gift with the purchase of a C8, it will probably go beside it.

The model is pretty cool because it's what's used during the color study phase in product development. Companies like PPG, Akzo-Nobel, etc will have their own similar generic car model samples as product demos when meeting design teams. This is a nice special touch from GM!

The independent dealer I bought my used Ferrari from gave me a carbon fiber pen set. Very handy for signing all the work orders needed to keep it running.

Damn fine piece of Personalized Art. Some like Van Gogh, some don't, but you are the first to ______! Seriously, fabulously significant model as Intended. If only GM put that much attention into real customer issues. I find NO fault in its quality and I could If there was any. 10 out of 10.

It's a gift, which is something you do not get often from a car manufacturer after buying their product. It's not meant to be a Franklin Mint or other detailed representation of the vehicle, just a nice keepsake for your purchase.
If you really dislike it that much, offer it up for sale. Someone will scoop it up quickly I'd bet.

Life's too short to be miserable. Bitching about a model of your new car with the VIN engraved on the base is just pathetic. They didn't have to send you a post card, and that's the thanks they get?
