What are some checkboxes to tick prior to bringing your C8 from the dealer?
First time corvette buyer here. My 2021 C8 has moved to 3300 status -- hoping to have the C8 by end of Jan (if not earlier). Looking for advise from the forum on some preparation I can do prior to vette coming home (ala prepping your nest before a newborn comes home -- scientists call this the nesting instinct).
Some things I can think off (but hoping the forum would add to this list given people's experience, so newbies like myself can use this as a guide). I'll edit my post below to serve as a wiki guide.

- Car Financing
- Figuring out downpayment
- Shopping for lenders / Finding lender
- Paint Protection Film [Any advise on how to protect car on first ride home?]
- Splash Guards
- Window Tinting Options
- Car Indoor/Outdoor Cover
- Aftermarket Wheels

You might take the dealer checklist along with to and look over the car to everything is in order. There have been some paint issues, one was around the headlights. Likely fixed by now but might be good to look for them.

Do not check the car over at night. Arrange for a daylight delivery so you can inspect paint and body panels. If possible take along a friend with a discerning eye. Don't let your excitement overtake logic. While you can't expect perfection you don't have to accept mediocre build quality.

Any track wrap will do. I bought some $44 version for the off brand. You can spend more if you like name brands on your temporary adhesive.
Be careful of putting temporary track wrap on vinyl race strips. Ask me how I know....

Garage floor tiles or epoxy floor, fresh coat of paint in garage, clean junk out of garage, maybe install cabinets, improve the garage lighting. You need to get the nursery ready!

I have a bunch to consider and a caution:
CAUTION: Forum report of car cover staining a C8 and recommendation NOT to use for 60 days.
- Bought GM Splash Guards before the car came (as I did many other items.)
- Splash Guards are little help for blocking pebbles thrown from front tires (same as my 2014 Z51 and 2017 Grand Sport. They work fine in rear but cheap so get all 4) so bought Side Skirts and Splitter from "C7 Carbon" (if option is available for 2021 and you did not order or if they are constrained as they were for almost all 2020s.)
- 22 mm lug socket (yep GM changed to larger studs.)
- GM Jake Logo Weather Mats (essential with my 3LT Natural Dipped Interior.)
- GM Logo Trunk and Frunk Mats
- Blendmount power mirror tap kit for Radar Detector
- SD Card for Performance Data Recorded- if equipped (not supplied.)
- Low dust brake pads (needed if a Z51)
- Jack Pads to bring to dealer or tire shop even if you don't have a jack
- Protective mesh for AC Condensers (if damaged NOT covered by GM)
- Edge Red Engine Cover replaces OEM Black and matches Edge Red valve covers on all C8s
- Tire insurance from Discount Tire unless paying many times the price for GM wheel and tire insurance
CAUTION: Forum report of car cover staining a C8 and recommendation NOT to use for 60 days.

Have financing in place BEFORE you go into pick up your C-8. It appears GM's best interest rate on Corvettes is over 5 %. Talk to your credit union or Chase bank, I'm hoping to get a Navy credit union rate at 1.79 % 36 months or 2.19 % for 60 months.
I went 3300 last week too, like you hoping for a January delivery. >>> 3LT HTC TR <<<
Already purchased splash guards ( same color as car, TR ) and in door car cover ( GM's )
PPF, Ceramic Coating in place to do when C-8 arrives
Already have all weather floor mats, trunk mats, grill guards, to go on also.
Good Luck
