Default Blue coupe available

I just got a call from the dealer I bought my C7 from saying they had a customer back out of his purchase of a blue C8 and wanted to know if I wanted it. I'm not in the market but thought I would pass it on as a favor to forum members. I am not sure if I can promote the dealer so I will keep that private and you can message me If you're interested.

Sticker price or asking price? You probably want both, as they aren’t likely the same number.

I didn't answer the call because I was busy. He left a message and all he gave was that it was a rapid blue coupe.

I should clarify that I took it as they had the car but it is possible it hasn't arrived yet. Anyway I hope it helps someone get in one a little sooner.

My local small town dealer called me with the same news . They were getting a 3LT Couple in Rapid Blue. I saked if it was one someone turned down and he said it was dealer stock that was the only way they could get a C8 . i asked the price and he informed me it would be $112,000.I politely declined !

That seems strange as it has been reported that dealers could not order a 2020 for dealer stock, GM was only accepting “sold” orders for 2020.

I got a call from a small dealer in Philadelphia that I purchased my 2015 from stating they had a C8 available for immediate delivery. It was a 3lt with a sticker price of approx. 93k. They told me there was a $30,000 addendum (uncharge) to the MSRP. I told the guy he was crazy and I will wait for the call when my number comes up to order one.

I have a HTC ordered from this dealer and was just told they had a cancellation on a 2020 couple that just arrived and now available. I saw in person so know it is there. Contact me if you want dealer info. I used to work there

Sounds to me like the lower volume dealers are grabbing one or two fully optioned out 3LTs to show and/or sell with a markup.

I know my dealer got one that was not an ordered one. They said it was a "surprise" from GM I guess it was a promotional deal for the dealers they were supposed to get one at least in my area. It didn't take them long to get rid of it though.

Yeah that’s why I wonder if its a marketing/sales ploy at select dealers and it would make sense for a small volume dealer to set that up. I mean my dealer didn’t even take deposit money and they are a MASSIVE dealer, so I can back out whenever which leads me to believe anyone can ask nephew/niece to place an order and then get the car and say “buyer backed out”

Had a C6 Monterey too. I loved that color. Have it under my name. Question is what color do you have on order to pass up on the rapid blue?

What makes you think that the person who ordered it declined delivery because of color?

I didn’t say he declined it for color. That was your assumption. Just wondering what color he is getting

Yesterday a top dealer that posts a spread sheet with cars ordered for customers forgot to hide a column on the spread sheet. That column listed the last name of the customer who has ordered the car. There was 6 cars on the sheet that had "stock" not a customers name in that column. I am sure someone got their hands smacked for that!!

I don't have one on order. I have a 2019 and won't be in the market for one for a couple years.

What small dealers lose in volume they make up in margin. Scoundrels.
