The C8 drop-top features a great new top design, but does that make it a must-buy?

2020 C8 of the Year Finalist - Unmodified
I would not have bought the C8 if it did not have a power pop top.

Changed my order from a Coupe to a HTC right after the unveiling. No regrets spending the extra money.
Already had a 2014 C7 Coupe. Did the Targa top off, Targa top on thing nearly every day I drove the Car.
Just one observation, the Top down wind buffeting in the HTC is more pronounced with the rear window raised all the way.
It's still there with the window lowered, but greatly reduced and definitely less than with a Targa.

I changed my mine to go to the HTC. Don't think the wife will be able to put the targa on and off and I like the idea of having all of the storage space available all the time.

Somewhere close to 40% according to the 3300/3400 for the first batch.

It's not so much for the collapsible top, it's moreso to avoid the numerous downsides that are inherently present with the targa roof C8.

Don’t understand why people ask others what kind of vette to buy. Your money buy what you like and turns you on. Model, color combo, wheels and such. Why would you care what others think or like. Not being rude just a question that has been asked many time s before.

Top down with a push of a button is a nice feature but being able to view the engine compartment on the first Mid Engine Corvette is a must for me.

I was only considering cars that were a HTC. II had no interest in coupes...

Strange question...it's like asking if you should date a blond or redhead.
