Audio issues with my c8 HTC
I have a rather unusual issue with my new HTC. Whenever I start the car the audio immediately comes to whatever I had previously been playing; ie, radio, usb music, sirius, etc. As per the manual I push the volume button to turn it off, but when I switch the infotainment screen to any different function (nothing relating to audio) the audio track immediately comes back on. The manual makes a vague reference to pushing down the volume button for an extended interval which I have done, but this does not solve the problem. It is an aggravation to keep pressing the volume button whenever I do anything whatsoever on the infotainment screen to shut the audio off. I actually prefer to listen to listen to my car than an audio track. I have called my dealer, but they do not have an answer. Any ideas out there would be appreciated. I did not have this issue with my c7. Thanks in advance

I noticed the same thing in my HTC. I think this is a bug in the audio system design - it should remember the last state of that push button after the power is turned back on. Whoever the programmer did that software or firmware, screwed it up. So now it's not a bug, but a "feature"

I noticed this issue in my wife's car, a 2017 Mercedes CLK 300.
She uses Android Auto. Are you doing same? When Android Auto is active, it takes over the audio, hiding the current audio function of the vehicle's system. Then when Android Auto is turned off, the system audio kicks back in.

Texas Mark--Thanks for your reply. I do not know whether my C8 has Android auto; however I do have the high end music option with LT3. You may be on to something. I have not configured any of my music or audio functions (still learning about this complex car) so I will check all the preset factory settings. Thanks for the idea. This shows the value of this forum
