Natural Leather looks dirty?
I am suddenly very concerned about my build at MacMulkin! I am going 3LT with GT2 seats in Natural. Last week a thread had a couple of pictures of that very car that have me second guessing that choice. Can anyone with GT2 seats in natural leather comment on the way the ventilated openings make the seats look dirty? The pics I am referring to are below. BTW, the GT1 seats are not as attractive overall, but the seat bottom and back don't have the dirty appearance. I could got 2LT and GT1 seats. Anyway, need some first hand knowledge to allay my anxiety.

not to worry
Not getting the 3LT dipped natural but I would not hesitate if my cash-only budget allowed. Would look perfect w/my TR pick. Had perforated true-leather Vette seats before and I used saddle soap on the genuine leather seat portion surfaces. Just like intended for the horse saddle, it makes the leather feel soft & smooth over time. The appearance of dirt in the pic is an illusion. You're seeing the tiny round holes as dirt. Saddle soap is what we used on our horse saddle and tack in the PD.

I have a similar but slightly darker colour in my truck. Normal driving made them dirty pretty quick. They clean up okay, but not perfectly, but they are the reason I went with black seats in my 2020 HTC. Of course, if you don't wear jeans or any colour that transfers and you clean them often you will likely be okay. I don't wear jeans.

The camera exaggerates the perforation. In real life you don't see it that way.

Agreed. I have GT2 seats in my 3LT natural dipped HTC. And since I am in So Cal the top is down almost every day. The seats look perfect, And I wear jeans every day. The key to wearing jeans is, when new, before the first wearing, wash them in hot water.

The holes for the Seat Ventilation are what you are looking at.
In person they look fine.

Hmm?
I had a 50 year old Jaguar X120 with British Tan leather. The bolsters were darkened from sliding in and out. The seat bottom had cradled an unknown number of sweaty butts. And every time I drove it, I was in awe of its timeless appeal. Folks, these are car seats not your wife's show off formal living room sofa. The one she'd turn celebate on you for sitting in. But sadly not the pool boy. Let 'em become something over time that is different mine to yours. Plus you'll have fewer sleepless nights over wearing new blue jeans to your sunny Sunday Show N Shine.
