The name of the game with C8 is allocations. Small dealerships just cannot play in this sandbox right now.

OP here Thanks everyone for the pep talk. I DO fit in a C8 comfortably and I have no intention of selling it when I finally get one.

I'm sure I will get one someday....Garage seems different with no Vette in it after 18 years of always having one. I bought a 4 post lift (pre covid) in anticipation of of my new C8. It will reside above my Challenger Scat pack if and when...I may just grab another motorbike to temporarily satisfy my moto lust while the wait continues. Selling the wife on this idea may be a bit difficult since I have 4 as it is!

My advice: enjoy what you have, avoid the "more more more" trap. 4 bikes and a scat pack...I'd like to think that could hold anyone over until their C8 arrives 😉

Because no way the wife would let him put it in the house! LOL...

The Moose and I have been together since 1974. He was taken in Alaska back in the late 60's by a fat, loud mouthed, kept man. No lie - A one-eyed red neck flown in a helicopter to bravely shoot this beautiful animal. I'm a gun guy but I would never have shot this magnificent creature. He has been in and out of our homes over the past 46 years. Wife likes him but just can't find the right spot after downsizing to the lake house. He is known simply as "THE MOOSE"

I was never really in for the base C8 but holding off for Z06. Seeing the issues GM has had of recent does give me pause, however, so I definitely would not be down for the first year of the Z06 as I had originally planned. I would hope that GM has the major issues sorted very soon, and that they will re-double their efforts to make sure the Z06 launch goes better.

I had the same issues so decided to buy a 718 GT4 and wait for my C8. It came in last month, and now my GT4, GT350 and M5 sit collecting dust. Easily my favorite car.

And, I turn 70 next month. Buy what makes you happy, life is too short now to delay gratification.

You are so right. Life was very short for my big boy and best friend Buster. He died here at home a week ago. Very sad week for us.

Awesome scat!!

Love those mopars man. Especially with that ZF 8 speed. They are hustlers for real. I'm a charger guy though. Buddy has a 392. They sound AMAZING stock. Same with those hellcats. Love mopars.

Back in March when they announced the Plant closure for Covid I had enough and was decided I would just give up.

It seemed like I was at 1100 forever, (actually seven Months). I was in the middle of Texting my Salesperson to tell her I was thinking about cancelling the Order and inquiring about getting my Deposit back.

At that EXACT moment I received a Text from her telling me that my Order was moved up to 3000 Status.

I figured it was Karma and it also meant my $5,000 Deposit wouldn't be Refunded if I cancelled.

I hung on for another eight Months and I picked up my HTC last Saturday. Let me just say it was worth the wait.
IT IS FRIGGING AWESOME!

Sorry to hear. It's tough being Dog People.
That is a handsome Boy.
We lost our second Chow Chow last Year and my Wife said that's it.
We're giving up on Dogs for a while even though the next one would probably outlive me.

Thank you my friend. I originally ordered a Red one and my Niece's "ALMOST" Husband (LOL - we're waiting) convinced me that Black was the way to go. He has owned a few Corvettes, and they were all Black.

I was still hesitant, waiting to see it in person. The Dealership received two HTC's, mine and a Red one.
I was able to see them side by side and while the Red was nice, the Black with Tan was a slam dunk for me.

Elegant and aggressive looking at the same time. It's already been mistaken for a Ferrari and a Lamborghini.

I traded in my Red Dodge Challenger in so it was time for a color change anyway.

I have been hanging out on this Forum since I had my 2014 C7. All I can say is that the C8 is beyond my expectations. Since I can't afford a Ferrari F8 Spider, this is the next best thing for a 1/4 of the price.
There is absolutely no downside to this Car, period.

I'm getting off my new C8 owner Soapbox now. Carry on...
