Default Camber settings on Z 51

I had the misfortune of getting a nail in my front right tire, but luckily it was covered and replaced. It was pointed out to me that the camber on Z 51's tires was set for the track, which "supposedly" would cause excessive wear to the inner tread of the front tires..
any info, comments would be welcome

They certainly are not set that way from the factory. So either the person telling you this doesn't know what they are talking about (highly likely) or someone changed the camber on you.

Did you buy the car new???

If so I would guess the chances of it having a track alignment are between slim and none.

Did they measure the camber or make the statement based on inside wear?
C7s were notorious for having the tires wear on the inside edges as aligned from the factory. The specs allowed quite a large range.
My understanding is if you're getting abnormal wear during the first 12 months they will perform an alignment under warranty.

Yes, I bought the car new from Kerbeck... C8 has 2K miles on it. No the camber wasn't measured, this thought was passed on to me at a Sunday meet up by a Z 06 owner......

just thought that that there could be an ounce of truth to the story..

The track setting is around -3 deg camber on the front. You can easily eyeball 3 deg by just looking at
it.. Compare it to another car you may have. I have mine set to around -2 and it is easily visible.

The factory camber for the C8 including the Z51 are very mild, about half of the minimum of the wide tolerance on C6s and probably C7s at around -0.5* both front and rear, negative camber so the top of the tire leans in. The primary cause of early tire wear on C6s was not only the factory camber, but more so too much toe-in.
