This will be my first corvette. I have had three Camaros now, 2010 V6 RS, 2012 and 2016 2SS. But I GOTTA have a mid-engine american car

Shadow Grey Metallic, Tan (nondipped) interior, transparent roof, mag ride suspension, NPP exhaust and carbon flash mirrors. Didn’t opt for the lift, I don’t think I need it based on comparing the nose to front axle measurements of both cars, the Camaro is within half an inch and sits about the same height or lower (lowering springs were installed)

Pretty excited. Now I gotta wait a year

Welcome to the forum. Congrats on your 2021 order. Everyone says the car is worth the 12-15 month wait. I'm also on a wait list for a 2021. A lot of good advice on this forum. You should check it often.

Yeah now we just research mods, hidden quirks and hidden performance secrets of the car for the next 12 months on this site. 😂

Just curious, did the dealer tell you it would take a year for the car to arrive? Or is that the worse case scenario. I ordered my 2021 on October 1, 2020.

Nah.....I am just assuming it will take a while. Underassume and get over delivered 😂

I think its been nearly exactly 11 years since I ordered a car, my first Camaro. That time I was pretty rushed and had a tight timeline due to an expiring lease on a current car. This time around I don’t mind waiting.

Welcome to the group. Placed my order in September 2019 for a 2021. Hoping to get it early next year. Sold my C7 a while ago. Garage looks lonely.

Default Interior heat.

Transparent roof will let in a lot of sun light = heat. Yes? I would think it would be like being in a green house on a July day.

Congrats on making the move!! Did your dealer tell you where you are on the list for your order? Meaning do you know when your allocation is supposed to come up so your order can be placed? And do you know how many allocations your dealer is expecting for 2021? Just mindless details us forum members mull over while we wait for cars to be built . Best wishes!!

Have had transparent tops on all my Vettes. Live in North Jersey. Luv them. Heater works in the winter and AC works in the summer. Gives you a much more open feel. Go for it IMHO.

Hahahahha...yeah I hear ya but I just didn’t bother to ask this time because I am just not in a rush at all. 11 years ago I created a tracking thread for all the 2010 buyers in camaro5 where we posted ANY updates in our orders on a daily basis 😂 The Vette specialist did show me the list I am on and I think I was 50th. But that’s including buyers who are about to get 2020 deliveries too. The cool and unexpected thing was the specialist had saved my spot on the list after I had only a 20 minute exploratory conversation two months ago, and there are 15 behind me! Such a cool thing, I am 38 but look 24 years old....let’s just say I don’t look like a typical purchaser of high end sports cars based on age and “appearance”, it’s rare to find courtesy like this at any car dealership. I have been passive “aggressived” out of other dealerships in my life. Combine all that with the fact all Rick Hendrick dealerships are priority for their respective manufacturers, I am comfortable in not knowing all those details

Yep in my 16 Camaro I leave the massive sunroof’s liner open all the time and from what I saw the C8 transparent panel is much more tinted than the Camaro sunroof. I never have had overheating/cooling issues in the Camaro, so don’t expect to in the Vette.

No 2021 allocations have been determined by GM. I ordered my 2021 Vette the other day but it's not official until the allocations come out. The good news for me is even if the allocations are the same as last year I will get one. My dealer does feel that there will be more this year than last.

Something you might want to verify; I read on this Forum that some, or all, of the Hendricks dealers are charging over MSRP. You don't want to become one of the horror statistics we have been reading about.

Congrats. It could be worse as you well know. I have a deposit in with Mike Furman since the 1st of October. So talk about a wait! LOL
Hang in there!

I ordered mine early February 2020. It was supposed to be a 2020. It’s shadow gray metallic HTC 2LT. It is my first new Vette. I had a 1984, then a 1986 convertible, next a 1997 , and the one I traded in February was a 2014 convertible. I’m being told that I am the 5th 2021 from my dealer so I’m hoping it will be early 2021. I really missed my convertible this year.
