Default Courtesy Delivery Missing Items- Please help

Hi. I just picked up my silver C8 at Grieco Chevrolet in Delray Beach, FL on Tuesday. I stopped by last Saturday and took photos of the car, and also the trunk and frunk. They lost my Window Sticker, Build Sheet, other papers, and maybe more stuff.

When I told them the Window Sticker was missing on Tuesday, they told me it was never there. Good thing I took some photos on Saturday.

Trunk and Frunk issues resolved. Thanks for everyone's help. Now I just have to get them to replace the window sticker and any other paperwork that is missing.

Thanks in advance,

Steve

Hey Steve,

When I took my car from the dealer last week, these are the items in the frunk:
  • Front license tag holder, which you'll install it your self (there's an instruction sheet in a plastic bag that holds the license tag holder);
  • A set of 2 storage nets, and I assume that are for the frunk and trunk, which you can either use or ignore. I haven't install mine so far;
  • My car has the Z51 feature, so there's also a large bag of plastic cooling ducks that you are supposed to install when go tracking the car. I confirmed with the dealer that I do not need to install them myself during normal driving. Since your car isn't Z51, I assume you won't get that.
So the bag in your photo should be the first two items.

When I got my car there's no window sticker either. Not sure if the delivery dealer throw it away or GM did not include it in the car, but I don't really care for that paper.

Hope your dealer will find them for you, or, they should ask GM to send a replacement if GM didn't ship it. In my case, GM did not ship the optional door sills and premium floor matts I ordered, and I am still waiting for both my purchase dealer McMulkin and Corvette Concierge to tell me when and if GM will send those to me. So don't feel too bad, as you are not the only one missing items

Good luck!

Did you check the glove box or any other cubbie/ door pocket for the window sticker? Doing a quick search I think they must provide it to you.

You can order the build sheet and window sticker from the Corvette Museum and let the dealer know so they can pay for it. All the other stuff that is missing your dealer can order those parts.

Thanks for the input. I have searched every area of the car, as well as their Corvette specialist Dennis looking for any papers, etc. The only thing they gave me was the small package with the Owner's Manual, and the other contents that were inside the clear envelope. The photo below shows everything that was inside the envelope, plus the two Key FOBs. The salesman Barry that was supposed to walk through the Corvette upon pickup didn't even stay around to meet me for my 5:40pm appointment. Great customer service.

Steve

Default Just the Facts

First, great looking ride. I'd be pleased as Hawaiian Punch to have it in my driveway. In Florida, you don't need a front plate, why would you be upset about no front license plate holder. In the 31 states that do require a front plate, Corvette owner's envy you living in an enlightened one plate state. As do we.

Thank you for that info. I was on the NCM website last night looking at what they offer. If I have to go that route, Grieco will definitely be paying for all of it.

Thanks again,

Steve

Most people who care about the looks of the car don't install the front plate bracket. It's ugly and unneeded. GM also provide a better spot for the front plate under the removable cover plate.

Someone can correct me, but I thought the bracket was a specific item on the order, and not automatically sent with the car, since it'd only a requirement (and probably not enforced), in 4 states.

Some discussion and pictures here https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-a-c8-yet.html

I also got the protective covering my car came in, maybe you need to see if they put the cooling ducts on your car if they were not in the frunk. My horrible dealer Van Chevrolet who are thieves and dishonest put the cooling ducts on the car as part of the PPI when they should not have. When it comes time for my first oil change I will have them take it off as I have no intention on tracking the car.

Don't forget the plastic funnel that comes with the car just in case you have to put gas in with a gas can. It should be there as well.

Guys..... I started this THREAD to learn from any of the fortunate members who have ACTUALLY received their C8 Corvettes already.

Can anyone tell me the following?

1- In the Frunk photo, is that the Front License Plate Frame?
2- In the Trunk Photo, what is the plastic looking thing that is inside the plastic wrap?

As far as WHY I want the items that were inside and on the car when I first went there a few days before pickup is because they were there, and now they're not. The dealer LIED to my face telling me that the Window Sticker was NEVER on the car. WTF??? I haven't even confronted them yet about the Front License Plate Frame, but from the shape of that Frunk package, comparing it to the GM parts website, it sure looks like that's what it was.

Most car salespeople are scum in my book, and Florida car dealerships are by far the worst I have ever encountered. Don't believe me, ask any Forum member who has tried to buy a car from one.

If it wasn't for Covid-19, I would have flown up to NH and picked up my car at MacMulkin and driven it back to FL. The next Corvette I buy will definitely be from MacMulkin again, and I will pick it up in person from them. They have always been my favorite dealership, because of the incredible customer service EVERY person there has.

Steve

Thank you. The funnel is there. It was against the back of the trunk, so I guess they missed it, so they couldn't BORROW it, haha. I didn't see it until I looked very close at every square inch of the trunk.

The thing in the frunk is just a temporary cover over the emergency release. NOT a plate holder. Do you know if a plate holder was even ordered?

The trunk thing I'm not sure. Don't recognize it.

NO, it's a cover over the emergency release. Maybe the fugly holder was not in the order?

Don't recognize.

Thank you Julio for replying. Thank you for resolving the first item. I didn't order a Front License Plate Frame, so that was never there.

Hopefully someone can figure out what was in the trunk package.

As far as the window sticker and other paperwork, I've learned that not much of it can be replaced, but MacMulkin is working on getting what they can.

Thanks again,

Steve

Steve, your picture of the rear trunk is just showing the interior latch as you can see in this pic.

Progtp- Thank you for your help. Now all that's left is for them to resolve the missing Window Sticker and any other paperwork.
