Got Shown up in My C8 in a Major Way @ Cars and Coffee....
Picked up my C8 last week and have been enjoying the heck out of it - 1300 miles on it in its first 9 days. I am used to the car being the sole subject of attention at every stoplight, gas station, and car show its been at. Headed to Columbus Cars and Coffee figuring there would be a lot of exotics but this probably being the only American car there....what else pulls up next to me but 2 of the new Ford GTs and 6 of the older style GTs. I told the guy who parked next to me in his that I felt a little inadequate next to his GT and he said he has a C8 at home as well and absolutely loves the car . In all seriousness had a great time at the event and talking to the owners of these and other exotics up there - the GT is truly a unique and special car but the C8 actually still got a lot of eyes.

Why would you give it up like that to some other dood? Rolling over and showing him your belly?
I would had told him I liked his car and left it at that. That's what I did at a car event we had a couple years ago. There were cars that cost more than my house. Owning a $400k car is just insane. I can imagine what their home looks like.

New blue one parked next to me at the gym. Couple GT2RS, 488, 458, 675LT..... There's always one bigger.

Would rather drive the C8 than any of the GTs in normal use.

What would you expect at a dedicated "car" event, but other impressive cars in attendance?

Lol, I dont really care that there was something hotter there, actually I really enjoyed talking to the owners. A completely different buying experience for a car like that, pretty interesting stuff. Just pointing out the irony of the other American mid engine sports car happening to pull up next to me. Had a blast.

...and then a P1, MC12 and La Ferrari pull in and it's Game Over for those Ford guys...
