Another supercar humiliated by the C8.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=nAmx_MQWV_I Its getting ridiculous at this point folks. Get what you want, but at certain points Lamborghini is just a Italian name. How many cars is the upcoming Z06 going to humiliate?

It’s really not a competition. I don’t understand the position that my marquis is better than yours. I’ve owned 6 Ferrari’s and loved each one. I’ve owned a Lamborghini that I kept for 9 years and loved every minute. I still own a McLaren that I’ve had for 5 years. Now I’ve added the C8 and I love it. To me it’s about appreciating the uniqueness of each car. I had a young kid with an old RX7 come up to me today at the market and wanted a picture of the new C8. We then talked about his RX7 which he spent time showing me a dozen pictures of. I enjoyed every minute. If you are a true motorhead, you will find something interesting in just about every car that is someone’s treasured possession. Some of my “exotic car” buddies look down on other cars which I can’t understand. Just because you can afford to pay way too much for a toy, as I have many times, you’re certainly no better than the guy who loves his beat up Mazda RX7. Just my .02
BTW, my McLaren is crazy fast. I can’t wait to make a comparison with the C8 as soon as I make more than 500 miles. Still have 250 to go. 🙂

For most people There is more to life than a few tenths of a second here or there. Put the C8 next to the Lambo, Ferrari, Porsche, and although the C8 is nice, it is in a different league than the others. So it really isn’t humiliating anyone in my opinion.

No Colin, it ain’t a supercar and it’s not trying to be. Funny he shunned off that price when Matt asked about MSRP. Z06 will come to pick up the pieces for baby brother.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but in my beholding, the C8 has them all beat in the looks department. The fact that it is marginally quicker is just a bonus. I was in love with the lines of the C6 and until the C8, i fully intended to keep my 427 Vert for ever.

C8 vs Ferrari Pista
https://fastestlaps.com/comparisons/4sofsd9g5kj2
0-60 is almost the same. But, take a look at the times over 60 MPH and you'll see the differences rather strongly. And a full second faster in the 1/4 mile.

Melting Slicks
I think some might agree that all this goes way beyond high end speeds or low speed acceleration. As someone observed in a magazine article recently, after the first few weeks of owning and driving a new sports car, 0-60 and 30-150 bragging rights times become pretty irrelevant. After that it’s more about the joy of driving and pushing our own limits and sharing with peers and friends.
On Saturday I saw a white C8 with the high wing parked on the street in front of a dealership that had McLarens & Lambos on display and the dealership right next door was a Ferrari house. I parked our Z by the C8 and got out and just spent some time walking amongst all those great cars sitting out there in the bright sunlight and simply absorbing it all. Maybe 12 cars in all outdoors. All brand new. Again, times are irrelevant when viewing that type of styling and the aggressive or smooth flowing lines.
A few folks on here keep attacking or ridiculing others for putting down the C8 in comparison to many of these more generally vaunted cars. But I’m beginning to realize that the problem perhaps isn’t with some folks putting down the C8. Perhaps the problem is more with the few who persist in elevating the C8 above its more realistic hierarchy. The C8 is a pretty amazing sports car a pretty amazing price point, but ...

So what if I told you a cheaper Model 3 Performance will smoke your C8?
Should everyone go out and cancel their C8 order and buy a Tesla now?

Gotta love how C8 performance #s mean nothing in comparisons to this cork sniffer stuff when things are equal or close because the C8 is not what the connoisseurs and pseudo sophisticates refer to as a "super car". 99.9% of these "super car" boys will never own one and can't define the term but will be quick to educate a simple ground level Corvette enthusiast that the C8 is definitely not one. This pretentious BS reminds of the guy we have all endured at a dinner table who is compelled to educate everyone about how "Champagne" only comes from some hallowed ground in France.
