I was just watching this drag race where the C8 gets destroyed. Is the 911s this much faster than 2.7 0-60 or does this guy not know how to launch it the C8?

It's not the only site that had the same results. There is a European mag/Youtube site that had the same results. I think people are finally figuring out the PDR lies

Edmonds just bought a C8 and on their test track they got 3.4 seconds 0-60 with no rollout and 3.2 seconds with rollout. My guess is this is much closer to reality than 2.7 seconds and below.

I have not seen a single video where the C8 won a drag race against the brand new 992. 911s 992 is faster in a straight line.

Thats why I don't believe all these 2.6 sec numbers from C8's dash.

We know the PDR isnt accurate. There are plenty of videos showing how bad it is however, I believe it is still a sub-3 sec 0-60 car it just might not be that consistent.

You can swallow what a bunch of Yo Yos who made a flash light drag video would like you to believe or more reputable sources such as the professional testing done by the auto press that show them to just about even with a very slight edge on the side of the C8. There are some impressionable minds here who swear by this internet video created by who knows who. That is just fine, they probably believe everything in the NYT and on CNN.

This pretty much covers it with numerical values for their respective acceleration rates with professionals conducting the tests.
C8: 0-60 in 2.8 seconds, 1/4 mile in 11.1 seconds.
911S 0-60 in 2.9 seconds, 1/4 mile in 11.2 seconds.
This is about as close as it can get.
Google will provide you with more test results if you need to see replication of these metrics but if this type of verifiable, reproducible, results don't work for you then there is always YouTube good ole boy videos.

The multiple video evidence of 911S vs C8 clearly show the 911S is quicker. However, I am betting it is some kind of conspiracy because a magazine said they are nearly identical. I dont believe real world results and am sure all of these videos are doctored to benefit Porsche.

Yeah you're probably right Dude, if there is no hillbilly style drag race "video" to show it close then you can be sure that the nearly identical acceleration metrics generated and reported by MT, C&D, R&T, etc. are all a pack of lies and an artfully engineered conspiracy to misinform C8 enthusiasts. Simply amazing how some can be so easily manipulated with a "video".
We've seen the usual cast of C8 haters here fist pound over this "video" in numerous other threads, entertaining for sure but sad testimony to the fact that all cerebral cortices are not created equally.
