I daily my car, and rain doesn't matter.... but just letting you know the difference in your comment above about the water test at the plant being different than actually driving in the rain.

Use Weather Mode on your drive home.

I hear ya..... you get this amazing car with lot of distractions.....lot of things to play with and learn. Why add to the challenge with ugly weather. But I think those above who’s posts were intended to be helpful made some good suggestions.

enjoy

Maybe I am missing something but I just looked at the weather in BG, KY and it looks damn good for the next 10 days. Obviously don't know where your going but there is only a 0-30% chance of rain for the next 10 days.

Then why would you need to ask the forum if it’s about your daughters safety? C’mon now!

Weather looks really good on the 28th when I'm scheduled to pick mine up, still willing to trade spots if possible!

I was very impressed with what weather mode in our C7 can do. Spring Mountain taught us how great it works in the wet. If it rains on the way home switch it to weather and be conservative. Enjoy your new ride and safe travels.

So, do you never drive in the rain with your daughter in any vehicle? While Corvettes are not crash tested by the IIHS or the NHTSA due to their low production volumes, their insurance loss data is pretty good:

Note: 2016-2018 is the latest data available.

If you can drive 500 miles without getting wet, you need to buy some lottery tickets. Did you get the model with the suede leather exterior?

I see motorcycle riders stop under overpasses when it rains.

Clean water then washed and detailed before you see it! That is the difference!

I got caught in a whiteout between Rock Springs and Green River Wyoming on I80 in a 15 Z06. Put it in weather mode and made it. Have been caught countless times in the rain. These cars are built for in climate weather.

To answer your question, just call the Museum delivery folks. They are usually very accommodating and will do the best they can. I would think a day or two would not be a problem for them as long as you give them enough notice before. Good luck.

Experienced.a similar bad weather situation back in 2019. The fine folks over at the NCM allowed me to keep the car outside at the museum overnight, just not inside as they were full to the gills back in their delivery prep area.

Just drive it... and, value the real-world initiation! (worked for me)
