IMO there's someone in the Vett team who is squashing all the styling creativity of the styling team members and that some one could even be part of the styling team. As evidence I present the Indy Pace car. YUK

Pretty sure he is talking about past pace cars compared to this one, although some past ones are pretty much the same. Yet some like the 98 are very over the top. I like the look of this one though.

yes, something different and eye catching. GM put a ton of effort into the 98 version, scientifically figuring out what color combo would turn the most heads and it works. People can't help themselves from looking like it or not.
The 2020 pace car uses the decals from 2019 on a color that they don't work with.

Actually this might be one of the best-looking Pace Cars next to the 1978. Most of them are hideous.
