Melting Slicks
Well, this was pretty much a waste of time... kinda like a high school term paper by a kid who’s never driven either car and seemingly never even ridden in one.

No sentient being would say American cars are better than foreign cars, because they aren't. The Corvette gives you very close performance at a much lower price point vs a 911. I didn't click on the link, so have no clue what the five supposed reasons are.

Man this is worse than "my dad can beat your dad" on the playground between two 6 year olds! I thought the rags were biased until I drove a porsche! Yeah the vette has more power and for me that's where it ends! Everything in the 911 feels right! The handling, brakes, the seats, the trim! It's an awesome car

Banned Scam/Spammer
Nearly all posts from the Curated Content people are horrible. I dont think they know much about corvettes or have ever owned any. So cringe-worthy.

I won't click on this ridiculous crap. I've owned Porsches and they are great cars. I'm currently very happy with my C8, absolutely think GM did a great job. I'm not comparing it to a Porsche because there is no need. It's a Corvette, it brings certain things to the table as does Porsche, buy what makes you smile.

Yes, he's wrong on MANY points. The first 911s had a 2.0 liter engine, but it was a SIX. He also neglects that the original Vette, with its Blue Flame turck straight six, was not a powerhouse either.

And, you'll be able to get a 911, with a manual trans.

I’ve owned Porsche 911s and Corvettes for 25 years and have never understood why people feel they have to compare them to each other. Chalk and cheese as far as I’m concerned. Porsches are about performance and refinement while Corvettes are about performance and value. Both are great cars at very different price points.
I have yet to drive a Corvette that compares to a 911 in terms of quality, nor should it at 50% of the Porsche’s purchase price. I have also yet to drive any Porsche including my GT3 that is more fun to drive than a Corvette. That’s why both are worth owning for different reasons and shouldn’t be compared.

This is getting old. I understand IB owns both Corvette and Porsche forums and in need of controversial click bait but I humbly suggest it's time to move on...

I cannot wait to hear your reasoning behind that statement. Because it is FALSE. ALL cars have problems. German cars have a LOT more problems.

Where in my statement did I say ANYTHING about problems? I was only speaking of two different vehicles. Can we just assume both operate with NO problems? You are just making presumptions about the quality of American and German vehicles. If the video spoke about issues of German quality, I wouldn't know since as I initially said, I didn't view the video. I don't mess with click bait.
