Default My Natural "Accelerate Yellow" Insect Repellent

Opinions, Good, Bad Or Indifferent "Accelerate Yellow's Attention" will not be denied by any living thing! It must have been an "OMEN" that a convertible was not available when I ordered mine!

I get the insects opinions all the time when washing it!

Six cans of Raid! 😆 In all seriousness though I don't know of anything to prevent it from happening. In the Black Hills I was parked next to everything from Red Mist, Sebring Orange and Caffeine to various silvers, greens and blues. There was the occasional bug perched on those cars but nothing like the flock of curious critters camped out on mine. Perhaps it's being mistaken for a very large and fast sunflower?

If you come across a solution let us know!

I see a new market for something to add into the soaps/detailers, to prevent this (and that will not hurt the paint)

Had the same issue with our ‘94. It’s the color.

I voted for you, @SMOKN C8

I think an Accelerate Yellow ERay may be in my future!

They are attracted to yellow. Only show your car indoors!

Maybe they think it is a giant flower, but they sure love it as much as I do! Nothing is going to keep them away. I have had it outside for pix and as soon as I scare them away and get ready to take a photo, they are back before I can get a camera shot LOL.

My plans to have my ERay be AY are on hold. These posts changed my mind. So glad I saw this. Thanks, guys!

thanks for the vote!

Out of all the shows I've been to so far, it was only the "field" (grass) that attracted them. When it's all been paved I've had no issues.

if I get an e-Ray or Z06 it will most likely still be ACY. I love being different than most of the other C8s around and it doesn't hurt that I love yellow vehicles.

Note: I contacted Adam's and asked them to have their scientists look into this and find something to help. They said they would pass it on but not holding my breath.

ACY is so damn sexy

Default Took Some Topless Pix Yesterday

I installed my new wind deflector from Speedway Composites and I wasn't sure how it would look - but I think it is not bad and it really helps in the cabin, especially at higher speeds. I was afraid it would have a 1990's sunroof vibe to it lol.

Nice to see it did not have the red handles like the one I saw in a video. Does not look bad to me at all

I saw this on another thread and thought someone here might be interested. Hot Wheels has a yellow 1:43 scale Z06 for $25. Here is the link.

Just took delivery and love this color. I can't understand why it is not more popular, its just amazing. It does not photograph as well as it looks in person, photos just don't really capture it.

For anyone who wants to recolor the switching in a 1LT.

I can't recommend the commonly posted Zig Fabricolor Fluorescent Yellow. Unless Marker Supply sent me bad markers these markers definitely look green, and do not look like Accelerate Yellow at all.

Below is a picture with a bit of stitching done with Zig Fluorescent Yellow on the left, and on the right is Tulip Fine-Tip Yellow. In the middle is Oracle Brimstone Yellow Vinyl, which is very similar to Accelerate Yellow.

And then here's a picture with the yellow seatbelt to see how much better the Tulip markers match

My Arctic parked next to an AY last weekend in Daytona Beach - reminds me of the old saying “don’t eat the yellow snow”
