Sadly it looks like I will not be accepting my 2020 due to all of the delays. Order picked up by G.M. on 1-16 still at 3000 with no change in status.
Originally was told I would have the car in March or even April at the latest.
Not going to fork over $ 90,000.00 to get something that I can drive for a month or two before it needs to be put away for winter.
As far as holding it's value when the 2021's start being produced I highly doubt it will keep it's value. Like any other car will lose 10% plus immediately.
Pretty sad as I have had 4 Corvettes in my lifetime and I knew when ordering this would be my last. (Not going into details about health status)

On the other hand same thing could happen if you order a 2021.

You say, "Looks Like" you will not be accepting 2020 C8 you ordered.
"Looks like" you may not be cancelling your order too.
Man up, it's 6 days till the 4th. Man up and pull the trigger on which one it will be. Same outcome as waiting on the 4th to do it. What's going to change between now and then? What is the Old saying, "When I was a Child, I acted like a Child! Your a Grown Man now, act like one, an make a decision!
I'm not about a "Pity Party Thread" an it sounds like that's what your after. Lot of us are waiting to know when we will be getting our C8's if at all as 2020s, an not 2021s instead.
By the way, if you've been passed over for a TPW 3400 since going 3000 1/16, is there a constrain on one of your options? Can't think of any constrains since after March orders like mine went to 3000 status.
What Trim level, Body Color, and what are your options?
Are you buying your C8 from a GM Authorized Dealer? If so how many 2020 allocations did/does Dealer Have.
Where are you located, what's your Dealer's Name. Someone here might like to buy your car, in your place.

The problem is GM's lack of transparency, they have ZERO answers for their dealers or customers and that's frustrating as hell. We have been left in the dark with nothing but speculation, guesses and of all things, answers to our questions from this forum, WTF kind of company makes it's customers get answers from a forum rather than from them? I would be perfectly happy waiting if I seen a light at the end of the tunnel but many of us can't even get that. Give us some straight answers is that too much to ask?
I think GM is providing a "straight answer," which is "we cannot tell you with any certainty when you'll get your ordered car."

Truly surprised how clueless and immature some of the responses are. To the others that responded and actually do have an I.Q. to discuss a situation I say thank you. I may wait and get a 2021. I would never buy a Supra or Nissan or any of the that other garbage mentioned.
My dad worked at G.M. for over 30 years. I have been a G.M. fan since my first Camaro at 18 and my first Corvette at 19. Many, many years ago. When you get old you tire of the B.S, easily.

As far as delivery time, who knows? The factory doesn't necessarily build them chronologically as they are ordered, but more logistically how they are equipped. It could get assigned a TPW any day now, and you may get it by late summer or early fall. Either way, you would still have your Corvette. The only difference is the couple of months you would have had to drive it. However, look at like this, when winter comes, the real difference is you have the car in storage now, but on that first nice day, you have your C8 to drive! Bail, and you may not have one until mid summer next year.
As far depreciation, whether you have a 2020 or 2021 next summer, what does it really matter? If this is going to be the last new car you buy, just enjoy it!

Sucks for you... I put my deposit down May 2019, sold my C7 6/22/19, went 3000 December, and now have a 7/20 TPW. I'll drive mine all year round as soon as I get it end of next month.

We all make our choices. Some good, some bad. My original TPW was 3/30/20. Dealer just called and said new build date is 9 July. Delivery by 1 August. I was happily surprised. The OP is moving on. His reasons are his reasons. I hope he finds the ride he likes. For those of us in Florida, we do not put them away. We just drive on and on and on.....And told the dealer to put me down for a Z06 as soon as he can take a deposit.

Updated: The Corvette concierge notified me yesterday that the car I ordered should be manufactured in late July or early August. Asked me to check back in two weeks for specific information.
To those that made the stupid comment about "can't afford it". Yep, that's the reason. Since I couldn't afford the base model with no options I decided to add over $ 20,000.00 in options so I REALLY couldn't afford it.
You low I.Q. morons are hilarious.
