C8 Corvette vs McLaren 570S

PRECISELY and Chevrolet is nearly always toward the bottom of reliability rankings every year. It's made in the US what can you expect. Porsche has been in the top 5 for years as you noted.

If you want to talk about reliability on the C8 go talk to that dealer that has said 50% of the C8 he has sold have come back with issues. At least when you get your C8 you will be able to spend a lot of time talking with the service department techs and spreading your wealth of knowledge.

List was taken from a site, I did not make it up. This list is on car manufacturers not about a model of a car. You are getting confused, which is not surprising.

This thread is funny.
I owned a 2019 570S Track Pack and it was an amazing car I enjoyed for almost 7,000 miles in less than a year. It had, zero issues, none. It beat anything it went up against and kept pulling like a freight train thanks to "boost by gear" and McLaren engineering. Anyone that doubts the strength and long term longevity of the M838T engine in the 570S doesn't know squat about engines. I traded it for a Lamborghini simply because I didn't stay in love with the car. There is MUCH more to a connection between man and car than numbers on a paper and it lacked some soul I desired so I moved on. It was and still is an amazing car that I feel blessed to have piloted down the roadways with a huge smile on my face.
PS: A C8 doesn't stand a chance in hell to run down a 570S. Mine ran 2.8 0-60s and 0-165MPH in 16 seconds on stock tires, no mods. When the C8 runs out of steam, the 570S just keeps pulling. The C8 is a great sports car to caddy your clubs to the local golf course. It's far from a super car. And thats ok.

I've been chatting with these folks a bit, and may fly over and have a look-see at this over the wknd; https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/d...9815/overview/
Yellow is one of my favorite colors, and it has the right amount of miles I'm looking at. My last experience with an exotic was a super low mile car, and I learned a hard lesson that cars not driven regularly have plenty of issues. 7000 miles per year or so seems to be kind of a sweet spot. Not sure what to think of that wing, but it doesn't help the looks or performance I'm fairly certain. Price is in the ballpark as well. I'm a cheap SOB, so if I make an offer it'll be closer to $100k all in, and let them stew over it for a while.
There's a volcano orange car in FL that's interesting too, but FL cars kind of concern me.

If your main concern is performance than you probably are making a giant mistake, the performance difference is minimal in most modern high performance cars, the difference between an 11 second car and a 10 second car is honestly not that much if you're watching them race, buy a car for how it makes you feel and what you wanna look at sitting in your garage every day you drive home.
I'll have no problems at all spending the money on a Ferrari 458 that's slower than my modded zr1, I can't wait to park it next to it

Every time we have a C8 vs. X thread, the same people saying the same things stop by and put their Keyboard Warrior comments in.
It gets old after awhile.
I currently own and have owned many corvettes and gm vehicles. It's not all about performance numbers... There's many factors that people take into consideration before buying a car
Gorgeous McLAREN.

PSSST…I know what they are into it for lol.
Also, start using CarGurus for your searches. It shows how long the dealer has owned the car so you can time 30, 60, 90 day price drop offers and you can hide any accident/stolen/fleet cars from the search results.

I know Speed Phenom (he was parked beside me for 3 track days at Laguna Seca.). He's a good driver and gives good reviews. Many of his videos where he is passing cars are when he drops down to the intermediate group from the advanced group. I was giving him some lead/follow in my 600 LT at Laguna Seca in the advance group so that he could better learn the lines and get some youtube content. I started going faster as he started going faster. (my P.B. is six seconds faster then the video he posted on his youtube channel).
It's very difficult in the highest open passing advance groups to pass people as everyone is very competent. Most of the track videos on youtube are where people act like hero's and passing people are in the lower groups (they shouldn't be in those groups).

Do you, or anyone have any facts to back up this claim? I have a '19 ZR-1 and a 570S spider. I've had 5 corvettes and loved all of them. But, you will never find a more territorial group of people on a forum (or in person) than Corvette people. NOTHING else will handle, accelerate or do anything as well. Ridiculous really. I think we need to collectively figure out how to keep some of the owners from ruining the brand image by chroming everything but that is just my opinion.
Anyway, back on topic. I haven't had any trouble with my 570 and the driving dynamics are incredible. Probably by far the best driving car I have ever owned. I think if you are willing to understand that you have a limited production car, the rest is somewhat understandable. With that said, I think McLaren needs to listen to all complaints. The cars are significantly underrated from a performance perspective and punch way above their hp levels.
I am personally waiting to see the new C8 Z06, that thing should be incredible!

Wrong! The drive train is the most bulletproof part of the car. The fit and finish items of a hand built car are where most of the complaints come in. Here again, hearsay from a bunch of people that probably haven't even sat in the cars..
