Default March allocations

I got in on the last allocations in March. And the order went straight to 3000. I just found out my TPW is 10/12. Hopefully this will change when production picks up. It could possibly be delivered on the same truck as MY 2021 cars.

How were you able to get your TPW? I went to 3000 in the same time frame and can’t seem to get that information.

Well at least you have a TPW..I went to 3000 on March 18th..So I guess I can expect a TPW in October too...but I've heard TPWs can move so we will see.

how in world can a March allocation projected already? If they are projecting/estimating until the end of the MY, then they should be able to give TPWs to anybody at 3000.

I’ve been saying it for a while, my TPW is probably Halloween. Anything sooner and I’ll be a happy camper.

That’s a Canadian Order Management number. If your in the states that number is useless.

I received a email from the museum asking what I wanted on my plaque. I asked if they knew when the car might be built, and that we would like to tour the plant around that time if possible. He then sent me the TPW.

Thank you. That makes sense. It seems those with museum delivery are getting TPW's much earlier than some of us.

And those with museum delivery may be incurring later production dates to align with museum delivery capacity. Museum delivery was on constraint already.

Mine has been 3000 since March with no TPW

If it is a 2020 in Oct. = I do NOT want and will keep m 2019 another year or maybe forever.

It sound like that will be the case .....I will probably cancel it next month when I find out
if delivery is that late = unless some one want it?

I got an answer back on my TPW , which was March 23rd, and was told from a reliable source with the Corvette Folks in BG, that because of the slow re-start up and with my vin number, #3896 and being at 3400 broadcast, it will be at least two weeks from today before my car would even hit the production line.

My dealer was telling me right after the plant shutdown, he insisted that my car was sitting right at the head of the line or maybe even already built, even though when I originally ordered my car back in December of 2019, I was told it would be July of 2020 before the car would be built because of ALL the other orders ahead of my order.

Then I heard back from him in mid February that my car was at 3000, (I had to ask on this forum what the Heck that meant?), then I was at 3400 Broadcast with the TPW of 3/23, All because of "Constraints",(another term I had to learn on this forum), from the factory on C8's that were more heavily optioned than mine. I was really excited until the dreaded Plant Shutdown! So it looks like now, I'm back to getting my car in July.... and you know what? I'm just tickled Pink with that.

Thank you for the reply. That makes sense, I was going to option the museum delivery, but ultimately elected not to.

Does anyone else think the op's date is so far out because of museum delivery constraints?

No, I think it’s so far out because it was one of the last 2020 orders entered. If production loosely follows FIFO, then it makes sense that an order that get entered near the end (March) will get produced near the end (OCT).

It's a White 3LT Coupe. And I didn't get the museum delivery. I ordered the plaque with my name on it, that's the reason the museum reached out to me, to see what I wanted on the plaque. I asked about touring the plant, and wanted to get an idea on when my car would be online.
