Approximate cost?
I hope they didn't charge by the hour. They move awfully slowly.

$5000 for the whole car. 72 pieces of XPEL total.
stripe was an additional $500. GM wants $1000
Its a life saver. Definitely keeps your ride looking new

Going with a clear bra & a few other bits. To do the entire car I was quoted $7,200 without labor. Seems too steep to me.

Too much $$$$$. I'd get a couple quotes. You have the option
to do - - - portions of your car. My 63, I had them put on a clear bra,
and door edges. But, that's too much money for a full car.

I don't know if you need to. You would be applying it on the XPEL, and not the paint.
I asked Tyler, and he suggested just a "spray detailer" on top of the XPEL. Ceramic is
expensive. I don't know if you can enhance the shine anymore, than just the XPEL product itself.

Looks great, but $6-7K is a bit rich for my blood....
I put a ceramic coating on my car when I got it in Aug 2015.... did it myself.... a real PIA, but cost me about $250 for the kit.... a Wolfgang product from Autogeek.... I'm sure there are better products on the market now...
Supposed to only be good for 2-3 years, but 5 years on its still holding up.... just a quick wash with mild soap, rinse and dry with microfiber... 15 minutes, .... no wax, and paint still looks new, and really protects against bird ****, water spots, chemicals, roadtar, bugs, and other stuff that can ruin paint over time... Now, it doesn't protect against rock chips, but a clear bra may be a cost-effective compromise.
If you're on a budget, it's money well spent, but for a few hundred extra, I'd consider using a pro detail shop to do the work.
