The Great CorvetteForum Show & Shine - Share and Win!
No physical meets, no problem. Welcome to CorvetteForum's first-ever virtual show and shine, an opportunity to show off your 'vette to the entire community and win great prizes!
We're teaming up with Avalon King to give away products that will have your Corvette looking good as new. One grand prize winner will receive nearly $200 of goods that includes three of Avalon King's Armor Shield IX DIY Kits, two bottles of Prep Shampoo, two bottles of Ceramic Maintenance Shampoo, two bottles of Ceramic Booster Spray, and a pair of Heatwave Vise Sunglasses. Plus, two runner-up winners will each receive their own pair of Armor Shield IX DIY Kits.
To participate, simply reply to this thread before May 26, 2020 with a photo of your Corvette. Whether you take it on a socially-distanced drive or just roll it into your driveway, any photo of your car - and any generation of Corvette - is eligible. And like any good show and shine, we'd love to hear about the modifications and customizations that truly make it yours.
You can learn more about Avalon King on their official website, and about their Armor Shield IX DIY Kit by clicking here. Full contest rules can be found in the PDF attached below. Good luck and we can't wait to see your Corvette!

Former Vendor
This is darling O'Vette
O'Vette is being prepared with road racer/show car looks. if we do put her in competition later we'll look to the running gear, but for now we are doing bits and pieces as we can. Other than the obvious painted calipers, we of course have our own "Dead Center" tail light bezels, a fist sized chunk of malachite for a shift **** with a kit for auto tranny conversion. Also we have done the "zip tie mod", replaced the accordion filter-to-plenum hose with smooth neoprene, and installed a 60% exhaust bypass, and removed both 'vette emblems. We installed a punched hole screen (giving an Alpha-ish look) in front plate cove (cutting a 4 1/2" hole behind), ditto for running lights. Racing lugs (hollow) to match the calipers are on the way. A custom stinger for the stock hood is designed but unscheduled, ditto for the coves, and vinyl #4s for her number (used by Gaston Chevrolet winning the 1920 Indy) waiting for a cut&Buff after the custom paint. From no Shine .............
To Shine and some accessories in Blonde
Parked in historic Elkhart Lake,WI This was a 5 year total tear down and build done in my two car garage.
Some member asked me about the wheels and tires, I can't seem to find the message, so posting it here:polished aluminum TTII’s
BF Goodrich G force t/a KDW’s.
Fronts are 17X8 245/45 4”BS
Rears are 18X10 275/40 5.5”BS
The other questions was the front splitter. It actually came with the car, but not installed. Those were popular back in the 70's and I can understand why as after 110+ MPH the front sure gets lite even with it... so it was at least that old and not sure who the MFG was. The car had sat in a garage for 20 years before I bought it. It had been raced, both road racing and drag racing and was a mess. But it was an original 900 code (black) car, the last year they made black corvettes for many years.
