This guy is back at it again this time with some dig races against a C7 Z06. The C8 gets the better start everytime, and the C7 even jumps and the C8 manages to keep up...for a bit. Then the C7Z starts gapping.

Stage 1 Z06 on radials and still cannot catch this 3.1 0-60 C8 corvette! 2.7 sec is even more painful
C8 only needs like 50-60 extra hp and Z06 will never catch him even after 1 mile

If the z06 wasn’t on a tire, it wouldn’t have caught the c8. Or if the c8 got a better launch. But either way it shows you a good comparison. Random stop light battles, the c8 will be tough to beat.

Someone really needs to teach that Z06 driver what an arm drop looks like... Holy **** that was bad.

The first race with the even start however, the C8 smoked the Z06. Absolutely would not have caught him by the end of 1/4 mile.

Hmmmmn...kinda quiet in here...lol...was the C7Z auto/manual...But like stated above the Z driver is a Tom Brady type of racer

This was Worthless, Pointless & Reckless. This video was more about egos, clicks than any factual analysis. Now use the same driver for both cars on a quarter-mile track & once the car crosses the start line the timer begins. My question was the Z a manual or an auto other than that, Way too many variables which makes it pointless other than watching two cars drag race on public roads.

The C8 is just really quick off the line. It'll beat the C7 to 60 everytime, but not to 100. However, that won't matter much because unless you're on a drag strip the C8 will probably be more consistent at crossing first. Now if it's a roll? The C8 has no chance, you can see that they're dead even for a bit then the C7Z takes off. On the track...well lap times speak for themselves.

The quickest quarter miles come from, AWD, DCT, Mid Engine, and electric motors. The C7 has none of these and the C8 has two. Of course it will best it from a dig.
I'm waiting for the model that will have all 4 of those. That thing will be a true monster.

Would have liked to see this matchup on a track with lights and no prep. The Z-06 jumped every time in the video.

There is only one good C7. That's the dead one.
C7 model is a failure. I've been saying this for years.
FUGLY AND SLOW.
c8s rear is also fugly ,but at least it drives good.

I wouldn't say the C7Z is any kind of POS, its just like playing on Hard Mode. high powered, RWD cars are very hard to launch effectively on the street.

Meanwhile the C8 is like playing on easy mode. A mid-engine car basically launches like an AWD car with tons of grip. So while the C7Z may be the better performing car, but the C8 is far easier to drive and will generally turn out faster 1/4 miles on the street.
