Default ~4/19/20~C8 delivery cross country *pics/*story and much more~Mike Furman@Criswell***

~I spotlighted one delivery story today to share the many facets of what goes into customer service all the way through the deal. We live in such an instant gratification world that you really should never lose sight of
how the little things add up to more than what the eye can see. All of my sales are generated from the forum leads, repeat, and referrals.
The couple from Oregon has probably sent 200+ customers my way over the last 5 years. Now clearly that is not the norm but I average several referrals per customer so you can see
where this can lead to. It's a domino effect of Corvette customers and many times I sell them their family vehicles. I am certified to sell all 9 brands that Criswell Auto carries.
How it all started out is by paying attention over the last 42+ years, I had many great mentors. Ken Allen and Gary Konner to mention two. Ken passed away approx 7 years ago and we had
stayed in touch over the years even though he had retired to Vermont decades ago. Enjoy the pictures and stories.

~I used to tell the story for decades of the 1988 Corvette convt that Gary Konner (Malcolm Konner Chevrolet) had as his demo. He took the White interior out of a 35th anniversary Corvette and put it in his
Black Convt. demo. That car looked so sharp, it was Gary's favorite demo back in the day. The reason the story came up is what happened on the first night after
switching interiors. His daughter dropped her rocky road ice cream cone on the white seats. I still get a chuckle. Well, Gary recently came up with a picture of that Corvette!

~John and Annie Elegant of Dallas, Oregon first left their deposit check with me on February 6th, 2015...And that made them deal folder #8! We originally met at the Corvette Bash April 2014 and we have been best of friends from that moment on. Their Yellow 2015 Z06 was their Corvette of choice these last several years and their vin was 17 after my vin of my 2015 Z06, they even viewed mine on the production line when they did the buyers tour back in 2015! I gave them a sight-unseen trade value knowing they were driving cross country for the 25th anniversary of the National Corvette Museum road tour this past September. From Oregon to Kentucky to my home in Maryland, John and Annie stayed two nights at our home and sold their 2015 Z06 to Criswell before dropping them off at the local airport to jet them back to their home in Oregon. Then the long wait for the production of their Black 2020 Corvette Z51 coupe. Vin 1750 was drop-shipped for courtesy delivery at the Chevrolet dealer near them in Sublimity, Oregon. This past week they took delivery and the smiles could be felt clear across the USA when John called me driving his new Corvette. John is a co-founder (1 of 3) of the midenginecorvetteforum web site and he puts up fantastic factual articles daily. Now that he has ownership under his belt I expect some terrific first-hand articles as John is very good at putting his thoughts down in print. Check out the pictures below even some from when they visited our Maryland home. Equipment list: Tension Blue/Twilight Blue dipped interior, 3LT pkg, front lift, CF cluster/surround, magnetic ride, edge red calipers, 5 trident spoke machined-face spectra gray wheels, ultra-rare code 5VM visible CF ground effects pkg, CF high wing spoiler, engine appearance pkg, wheel locks, splash guards and edge red fender hash stripe. Let the fun begin for two terrific ambassadors of the Corvette brand! John plans on joining me in October for my C8 Corvette driving school at Spring Mountain race track in Pahrump, Nevada.

~Jeremy W. Of Lawton, Oklahoma took museum delivery of vin 0050 ( that he purchased from me) the very first day possible and transported his C8 home. Yesterday Jeremy posted pictures of his Sebring Orange beauty on his home lift in his garage majal! Stunning in every way. Jeremy is known as “Jagamajajaran” on the various forums...which stands for the initials of his family members.
Jeremy plans on joining me in October at Spring Mountain race track in Pahrump, Nevada for my C8 Corvette driving school.

~Tim M. of Rapid City, South Dakota recently had his new Corvette shipped via Plycar to his home in SD. Tim sent me these pics from only 20 minutes from his Rapid City driveway.
Quite a view.

~Conway B. of Grant, Florida also shared a picture of his new 2020 Corvette after I shipped it down from Criswell to his driveway.

~Others that left the yard...

~Eli Mannings Super Bowl MVP Corvette is up for sale...that would be a cool Corvette to own...wonder if its autographed?

~My customer and friend Rick F. dropped by to give me some Rte 66 items for my garage. Rick owns a C7 that he bought from me and has a C8 on order.

Right hand drive C2...

Could the new Red for 2021 look like C5 Magnetic Red?

Stirling Moss, Larry Shinoda, Peter Brock, and the SR-2. Bill and Betty Tower are in the car. Amelia Island early 90's.

Happy Sunday Mike! So glad to see John and Annie have taken delivery of their gorgeous new C8! May they drive and enjoy it in good health! Love seeing all of the smiles on the faces of the new C8 owners! Also some great shots of "CRUSHIN" by Jeremy taken in his GARAGEMAHALL (wonder where that name came from?).

They say art speaks to you, when you see a piece that you know you just have to have. This pic did it for me this week! Have a great week Mike, stay safe and be well!

He had planned the swap of the seats as he wanted the white interior in the Black Convt...he hadn't planned on the ice cream spill the next day.

Thanks Mike for another week of great pictures and stories.

Congrats. to John for getting is C8, and to all the other owners who took delivery this past week.

The Covid-19 situation has made car sales impossible here in Michigan, and has already ruined the plans of numerous events both automotive and other potential social interaction activities here.

Favorite photo for me is this shot from the Woodward Dream Cruise, and annual event here in August, so hoping at this time, it still goes as planned.

Have a great week, stay safe, and keep bringing miles of smiles to your customers!

The new seats caused the spill, much like washing a Vette brings rain.

Great retro pics as always Mike, I sometimes wonder looking at all of the barn/garage "finds" of old Corvettes how many more discoveries could be left? Keep up the good work

Morning Mike,

Congratulations to the new Vette owners.

Speaking of Route 66. It passes through my home town. I don't have a pic of the Vette you sold me on Route 66, but here is a pic of one of my previous Vettes on Route 66 next to the landmark round barn. I used to go by the barn often with one of my grandfathers on our way to a quarter section of land he owned. The barn is a reminder from my childhood in the 60s.

There were a bunch of great pics this week and there are many of them I really like. But I always have to go with the Astro Vettes.

Have a great week.
