Default Bomnin Chevrolet - C8 FS

I reached out to Bomnin yesterday about this C8 they have listed. Verified it was in stock and not a pre-sold customer car. So, I told them I was interested. They sent me a purchase order and CC authorization so that I could quickly put deposit down.

I suppose I should not have been surprised that there was a markup on PO, just surprised they didn't mention it to me on ANY of the calls/texts/emails I exchanged with Gabriel.

Over the last week, my impatience with getting a car built (that is at 3000 status) took over. I went to all the major sites and emailed or called every listing, realizing that most were sold orders (GM and the dealers really need to fix this. Some dealers blame GM and say there is nothing they can do yet other dealers do the responsible thing and update the 3rd party listings to show that the orders are sold in the photos, show the markup, or at least say call for price).

Bomnin did not even bother responding to me. Plenty of others did saying they were sold orders or that they were charging a markup. I politely thanked each and moved on. This morning I struck gold on a listing that was posted last night and found one at MSRP. Called as soon as they opened and put a deposit in. Then go get it 3.5 hours away. It was a small dealer in a tiny town and they were good people. They were blown away with the inquiries they got today from all over the country and several people offered them much more than I paid but they were upstanding folks and held their deal with me.

Moral of the story, these are in demand but you can get one by either 1) being willing to pay more than the other hundred guys looking nationwide, or 2) Be incredibly persistent and get a little lucky. Keep your chin up and keep plugging, something will shake out. Last night I was having a whiskey on my patio, frustratingly emailing a lot of dealers. This evening:

Yes, I could handle 5-6k markup, but 10k was too rich for my blood.

Fees look very high also. NY sucks but we don’t have fees like that.

We have purchased from Bomnin. This does not surprise me at all. This is why we ordered our C8 from a different dealer. Sorry it didn’t work out for you. We continue to wait for ours to be produced but we will be laying MSRP, no markup.

What was their response when you questioned them on the ADM?
Interesting, as their web site link has the car listed at MSRP and below the description of the car this statement is listed in BOLD print:

Vehicle Description

The Price you see is the price you will pay. NOT A PENNY MORE.

Be patient my friends those that have to have it now for instantaneous gratification will pay more. If this economy doesn’t get turned back soon we will have many available if BG goes back to work. Mine is at 3400 and should be built when they get back.

I have been dealing with Gabriel at Bomnin since last summer regarding my order for the HTC Vet. He has always been honest & upfront about everything. I
I also saw their advert for C8 Coupes so I contacted him today, & he came straight back with - $10k uplift on these cars. He said no uplift on existing orders.
Gabriel is one of the Good Guys (IMHO)

79k sticker, for sale for 89k and they STILL want to charge $900 doc fee!? WTF
then it gets worse... $400 license fee and $400 'electronic' filing fee... whatever that means.
10k markup and still hitting you for 2k more in garbage fees.

Yea those doc fees are crazy, The would not be able to sell Malibu if they add that much to the price, $1700. Just ADP I guess .

Confirmed by salespeople, Only 10K Market Adjustment Price. Thought Hendricks is worst in Doc fee, they are not even close to what Bommin charges.

Still can't believe folks are so surprised at the ADM some dealers are asking. Right now it is a sellers market. If one wants the car, he puts his money on the table. If he doesn't, he walks. So simple.

Boy that's really out and out greed!....I talked to a gentleman looking at customers C8s at Estero Bay Chevrolet in Fl..He showed me pics on his phone of C8s at Bomnin and was going to drive over to see if he could make a deal..I advised him to call first or check out some early posts on the forum about that dealer.

And they wonder why with fees like this they buy other makes. I backed out of a $600.00 fee on a truck when they would not move

They tack on those ridiculous doc fees because they advertise other Chevrolets for ridiculous sales prices and try to recoup it on that end.
