Default Victorville Chevy shutdown

https://www.vvchevy.com/, is Shutdown and sealed.

It is either GM or the Health Department shut it down and sealed. News came from Sales consultant who worked there.
Do you know why?

They are asking $10,000 over MSRP for their C8's so it looks like they were shut down because of the Karma-20 virus

Default Meh ....... SOP for most dealers

Only inside sales. Service is open. Internet sales still going. Same thing in many counties in TX, Grapevine, TX Classic Chevy doing the same thing. Service is open. Sales by appointment only to limit employee exposure.

Free market. If someone wants what they have in stock, good for the dealer if someone is willing to tote the note.

Absolutely true, but that doesn't mean potential customers aren't allowed to be put-off by it. I was in retail for over 40 years and was happy when we had popular products and never gouged - which is also free market.

Like I always said, if you don't like the price, the next dealer is just down the road.

Except we don't have the free market. Especially with cars. If we did Chevy could sell directly to us. Cars are one of the most un-free market products out there.

Old story and, a subject for o/t. As for the adm ? Dealers choice. It is his prerogative. He owns the car till sold. As mentioned in another thread, if someone wants to pay me $10k more than I paid for my Corvette, You'd better damn well believe I'm selling it to that person.

You sound like a guy who hordes toilet paper because he can jack up the price. Same thing isn't it, a free market. Or is there an ethical, moral alternative.

Since you are so "morally" offended, why don't you go to the current thread discussion how much owners who now have C8s would sell theirs for over MSRP. Your fellow members don't seem to agree with your morals judgement!

Same applies to them. You know that those that get most offended are usually the most guilty. Judge yourself not me. I don't feel guilty.

The California New Car Dealers Association has advised their members that California, and local, “stay-at-home” orders allow service and repair operations as “essential” businesses, but that retail sales of cars is a violation. Many have closed their brick and mortar retail sales but some of those continue to do on-line sales.

So its FINE when you make a profit, but no one else...... got it.....

you might want to educate yourself on the term gouging, unless spewing misinformation and your selective greed is what you are aiming for.... : )

I love how people fight over the price of a TOY. If the price of the car is too much for you then don't buy it. The premium you're paying is for the first to have it on the block and 15 minutes of fame you will get by having one. If you just wait a model year or when the Z comes you will get the car at a discount rate.

The only problem I have with a market adjustment is it doesn't affect depreciation. If you spend the market price you're depreciation smack would be that much higher.
