No, they won't do such a project. Too many hurdles just with safety, certification, etc. They'll leave it to an aftermarket firm, if any want to try it. Oh, they may have "skunk works" and Area 51-type shops within the company, but that's with the tacit approval of way up. It's called "leeway" and "latitude."

Everything over a 100k will be built. GM needs money bad.

Those rims are, perhaps, the best I've seen on a white C8. I know many people choose all-black rims but I like how these wheels here are differentiated from the rubber.

I shortened the rear and extended and lowered the nose, but the roof line does it. Center steering???? Lambo doors????

The next C9 needs to be a bit smaller in overall exterior size if possible.

I owe you a genuine apology, I thought you possessed the mental capacity to comprehend complete sentences that include supporting arguments to a position instead of just blind opinions. The only thing that is clear, is you are desperately trying to stay relevant on the Corvette forum. You will not buy a C8 for several reasons, we all respect that, yet you hang out here in the C8 section posting about a car you have no interest in at all. Why not go post on a Volvo forum, you have no interest in them either.

It visually comes across as a bit too large for a V8. It is larger than the C7 externally.
Just like the C6 was a shorter more compact C5, I think the C9 would be better a little smaller externally.
After seeing the car in person at a reveal at a dealer, those were my impressions.
Nothing negative, but just an area of possible consideration for the C9 IMO

anyone hanging out on a forum ain't exactly an up to date kinda guy if you ask the kids. Anyone still wanting a V8, or any ICE, ain't exactly an up to date kinda guy. Anyone thinking they're "an up to date kinda guy" definitely ain't an up to date kinda guy.

Keep in mind that many of the exotic manufacturers have produced cars designed 10x uglier than the C8 Corvette, with very terrible design choices, but those design choices are accepted and seen as bold and avant-garde, because of what brand made the car and the car snobs that appreciate them.
They are accepted because very few are saying they're mindblowingly beautiful and those that do usually accept that others disagree. The C8 is not a horrible design (I would say it's a good design but I still just don't like it) but it's replacing a design that was really well done. The real problem is that some of the C8 lovers/fanatics have such a hard time accepting that not everyone loves the C8 above all alse and that it is in fact not a groundbreaking car (hardly any car is, these days it would have to be EV or hybrid to qualify)

Not a chance. The C8 has won all those awards for a good reason. THERE ISNT ANY SPORTS CAR UNDER 140K THAT COMPARES in any measurable comparison. If you cant afford this level of car then its not for you, but its where the smart money goes IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR LOOKING AT. These replies are not stopping sales until somebody can build something comparable for a pricepoint.

The biggest improvement GM could make it to create a second Corvette line -- maybe call it the Corvette Truckster. It should be able to carry plenty of golf bags, pillows, suitcases, and other matching luggage for cross-country trips. It should have an engine in the front and round tail lights.
That should free-up the team to drop the ludicrous storage requirements so we can get rid of the giant rectangle rear end, and actually create some flowing design lines. I would also like to see a less pointy front end and the elimination of at least half of the creases and angles. I would like active aero instead of a fixed spoiler or wing. If they require a fixed wing or spoiler, then have mercy and please don't make it ZR1 huge.
