Most are absolutely self absorbed morons! Most of them don't have a clue as to what they are talking about. It's a system where one Youtuber feeds the others with bad information. Apparently none of them are good readers as most don't have appeared to have ever taken a look at the owners manual.
Launch Mode Example: Owners manual states to hold brake down firmly, depress gas pedal fully and then let go of brake. Every Youtube video that I've seen shows the Youtuber holding both shift paddles, depressing gas pedal and then releasing the paddles. I don't have a C8 yet, however I have it from good authority that the Youtube paddle method is NOT the way to launch the car.
You can judge the value of a Youtube video by the click bait title, amount of crazy rant at the beginning of the video and the impertinent fluff in the video. I usually jump through the video if it starts off bad and then give it a thumbs down. If the Youtuber is REALLY bad I block their channel. My guess is a few blocks and thumbs down has a disproportionate affect on the bottom line.

I don't mind them. Some I like alot less than others. Since my car fell just short of getting built when the Plant closed, this is as close to driving as I can get. Nice to hear their driving impressions.

The only two that I watch are Rick Conti and the Chevy Dude, mainly because on many of their episodes, you can actually learn something. As for the rest of them....no thanks.

It’s all about views and followers so most of them will do anything to draw attention to themselves.
Some are entertaining but the vast majority have little if any actual useful information.

No. Most aren't morons at all. They are making good money, some stupid money, driving cars. Just because you don't think they are entertaining doesn't mean they are morons. They get millions of views fro m people who do find them entertaining. You don't have to. Don't belittle them for based on your personal opinion.

Another idiot
How about the guy that basically drove his new C8 to a race shop and removed the exhaust. I am all about a great sounding car, but his is obnoxious. The guy droves around the neighborhood and asks people what do they think of the noise. I kept thinking that the local policeman will get him sooner than later.
