C8 performance runs 0 to 60/100 and 1/4 mile
I posted a 2.7 and 2.67 0 to 60mph time in my C8 yesterday and it generated a lot of discussion. A few of you asked me to do a full run 0 to 100 and 1/4 mile so I did two runs this morning.
My car is a stock C8 3LT with the Z51 performance package. No modifications. I put the car on a Dyno this morning before the runs and it was making an average of 437 rwhp after 5 consecutive pulls. The car has 580 miles on it.
Here’s the PDR video...enjoy

That transmission and gearing is great. Hopefully the Z knocks it out of the park. The base car has definitely raised the bar for the short runs.

Another 2.7 0-60 which is great along with very low 11s on the street. Looked like your MPH was 123 or 124 either is outstanding for a base model Corvette. C8 has ***** for sure!

To be honest, I'm more impressed with the 0-100 time of 7.2 than anything...That's flying for a base model car. For reference, it was hard for me to get that in my old C7Z06 on the street with 150hp more!! Well done!

I mean, that looks good and all, but now do it with three independent witnesses, four independent timers, one eye closed, both hands on the wheel, and a clergyman from seven different religions to certify the results.

Yes...yesterdays fast runs had almost no wheel spin. Today I really just wanted to capture the 0-100 time and 1/4 mile that some were requesting. The car is consistently 3.0 and under 0 to 60 using Launch Control.

Not that I’m aware of...the “Launch” RPM stays at 3500 RPM until you release the brake. One time the RPM did stop at 2500 RPM instead of 3500 but I just aborted the run and couldn’t replicate that a second time.
