Mid engine cars don't use Long tube headers, construction is much different.

For now we are just building from headers back....... We may work with our buddies @ American Racing about design of a long tube header system that will then bolt to our exhaust system once we feel we are closer to tune these. 👍

Nice work... I’m hearing the exposed exhaust are generating a ton of heat, maybe offer ceramic JET-HOT coating?

I believe that heat shielding is going to be a huge issue with these aftermarket designs. Everyone wants to go with the exotic look we see with Lamborghini and other supercars with that sideways "U" bend / crossover pipe, but those cars don't have a trunk and as many plastic pieces in such close proximity to the exhaust. MagnaFlow has created a prototype exhaust for the C8 using TJ Hunt's car, and on TJ Hunt's YouTube channel, you can see the upgraded Z51 exhaust with the design exposed via cutaway. The Z51 exhaust design actually does not appear to be restrictive at all, and the valving to reduce noise when required and then open up for performance seems to be well thought out. Chevy has done a great deal of engineering on the Z51 exhaust. I think the practical approach to performance and appearance gains over the factory system will be less restrictive catalytic converters and replacement exhaust tips for those who don't like the square tips.

Are you using a CAD/CFD program or are you shooting in the dark?

Don't need CAD when you have good fabricators lol

However, Fluid Dynamics (the CFD part) is less intuitive than you might think. There is a reason that racing teams have moved to computer analytical tools over just doing things by eye.

I agree, however spacial limitations on a ME car will cancel any CFD answers. Can only put a crossover in a certain place and can only fit a muffler of a specific size in a certain place. Connect them and toss on tips lol.

there's no reason not to do long tubes unless you can't figure out how to package them. there's more than one example of mid engine cars with long tubes..
