Can you still open and close the valves on your setup? I for one, like the more exotic sound. Is it louder than the stock exhaust? Thanks.

And as for the sound, its hard to tell from the video because the GoPros were placed in different spots from stock to aftermarket. We will get some more footage of it on the dyno so you can hear it rolling through the gears. IMO it sounds 10X better than the factory muffler(when fully open). It sounds more like an exotic V8 with a much smoother sounding exhaust compared to when it had the stock muffler and both valves open it sounded more like a V8 with cut outs or a truck with glass packs. Again, we will get more footage in its current setup, and then see how it sounds with a high flow cat setup. Maybe I am just getting older, and do not like the like an obnoxious exhaust like I might have once liked when I was 18 years old. Also in its current state, when it switches to 4cly mode while on the highway, the exhaust does not sound horrible. We will see how that changes with a set of high flow cats as well. Remember, you can set your car up in Performance mode to keep it in 8cyl mode the entire time if you so chose. Guys, I am hear to get your feed back to make a better product, this is why we do R&D, so do not feel bad if you give me bad or good criticism, I can take it.
@Late Model Racecraft thanks for the detailed response. I'd consider it just for the view through the rear bumper mesh; your X-pipe is by far the best looking to date. I used to race a C5 and now just instruct at VIR. If I were designing it for me I'd offer it Jet Hot coated to minimize radiant heat for track use; have to think GM didn't waste the money and weight on all that heat shielding for no reason. Additionally, I hope you guys consider multiple tip offerings. Something rectangular contoured to the fascia opening would be awesome.

Did you just zip-tie the valves out of the way?

There are no valves at all.... they're plugged into the wires, but not in the exhaust flow.

Obviously, keeping the stock heat shielding or its equivalent is paramount.

I am interested to see what Akrapovic might bring to market. They certainly have all of the requisite design tools at their disposal.
Sole performance wants 2,800 for those converters.

I notice the gains are in mid range torque (which is good), rather than peak hp where it gained nothing. Could tell us the mode settings for the baseline run and new run. Could some of the difference be due to a closed valve on the stock system that opened at higher rpms, maybe a mode difference between tour and track?

There are so many variables these days. Also I noticed the comparison between 4th and 5th gears showed the same kind of midrange torque difference, but little to no change in peak hp. Given the differential should be due to gearing losses and nothing else, I would have expected there to be differences across the whole rpm range.

maybe I am misreading the data.

That sounded fantastic. Is the stock exhaust in track mode? Was the baseline done before break-in?

LMR, did I miss the weight savings?

Maybe they are not as much as I was hoping to see?

It'd be awesome if someone could make some AFM/NPP valve sims like Edgyvette used to make for the C7 (he stopped for some reason). The valve and motors add up.

Here is a quick update on our Exhaust system. We do have our Stainless systems in stock and ready to ship. This video shows our new production model Titanium catback exhaust system. We plan to put more miles on it before releasing to the public.
