If I had decided right now that I wanted a C8 I would not hesitate to give him 5k above price. At the same time I would not hesitate to ask 15 times what was originally paid for my C3. No idea why everyone gets worked up over this. It appears there would be quite a wait if I wanted to have a C8 built and wait for delivery. $5k appears to be a very small amount to put it in my driveway today if I so decided.

I bet the dealer low balled the trade on his ZR1 and the buyer walked. This whole thing sounds like a dealer scam, are you sure the buyer is getting the extra $5K and not the dealer? Is the car already built and sitting at the dealer or is this gonna turn into a 2021 car?

No scam, no lowball, and no dealer hustle"....…..This car came in on the same truck mine did, to the same dealer.. The "seller" has an additional $3k in the car for taxes and fees. He did take retail delivery last Thursday. He was conflicted over getting rid of the ZR1. Thought he was keeping both. My sales guy even helped him drive it home. ...Sounds like he made a decision...Pic from last Wednesday morning, just off the truck. He's making $2K......Big deal.

So the guy paid all the taxes, title fee, doc fee, along with whatever ADP the dealer can get him to sign for and then decided he didn't like the car the next day. Total BS story. Dealer looking to hose somebody for five large on a car someone ordered and walked on.

If the new buyer happens to be a cash buyer he would still end up paying less than a lot of folks here criticizing the buy who did not get 0% financing....

I'd say he was wise to hang on to the 2019 ZR1.

My car is on the line waiting to be finished, was thinking about getting my tool box and headed to BG. Way to much uncertainty, the impact from this virus has caused such disruption.

It's a used car now. No State Lemon Law protection for used cars. Double whammy.

Is the car still available at the dealership? The guy who started this thread mentioned about this c8 in another thread, I called the dealer and apparently sold.

It's a free market and there are some cars selling for more than 5 grand over MSRP. Why get so worked up over something so trivial. Life's too short to stress over what someone is asking for a car...who cares! Oh, and yes, I have a car @ 3000 that has been there since January. The original TPW was 04/20 and now, who knows??? I'll simply wait my turn and see where things go. There is a lot more to think about right now with everything that's going on in the world.

They want $40k over sticker on this one. https://www.chapmansellschevys.com/V...-PA/4225473943
I might ask about car and play along since I have nothing else better to do.
