Things I wish my C8 had
I love my C8, but there are a few things I wish it had.
- Adaptive cruise control. I have this on some other cars, and I guarantee that once you use it there is no going back. It requires a radar dome in front, so it does interfere somewhat with the look of the car, but it can be done without marring the looks. My Boxster has it.
- Rain sensing wipers
- Adaptive cornering lights (at least I don’t think it has it. Haven’t driven at night yet) these are a great safety feature, especially if you want to do some spirited night motoring.

Just be thankful it doesn't have start/stop technology.....ugh

It does not require a radar in front, Chevy actually uses the front camera for the adaptive cruise control.

I've had several vehicles with Adaptive Cruise Control and I can definitely do without it. My wife's current vehicle has it but you can set it to "normal" curise control which I much prefer.

Sounds more like you need an autonomous car. I like being involved with my vehicle, switches...

I have adaptive cruise control on two vehicles. My wife and I prefer the old style - way too intrusive.
Rain sensing wipers I do have on two vehicles - sometimes they are OK and other times they go way too fast or slow.
I do not have a 1948 Tucker for the adaptive cornering light(s) - way ahead of its time.

Not a fan of rain sensing wipers. Have had them come on with an almost dry windshield. I want my windshield pretty wet before I turn on the wipers. Have had too much scratched glass in the past, including a deep gash in my new C7 windshield which GM replaced.

Does the car blind spot mirrors and auto braking, love those to features on the wifes car.

It does have side blind zone alert which is a nice safety improvement. As I have only had the car for a few days I am totally impressed with all the features that the car does have- Power folding mirrors, Front lift, heated steering wheel- not that I need that in FL very often, great sound system -tons of tech additions. Since I ordered this so long ago I feel like I've owned this car for a year already! The design and engineering is amazing! it will be interesting to see what they add in the next year or two.

I'm glad it has none of those features. The adaptive cruise control is way too intrusive and just another crutch for people who don't pay attention to actually driving the car. I can take or leave rain sensing wipers. On some cars they work well and on others not so well.

I've driven two cars with adaptive cruise. One, a Subaru, worked very well, although it had a couple of quirks. The other, a Buick, sucked big time. Assuming the Corvette would be similar to the Buick, no thank you. My wife's new car has rain sensing wipers, and I find it swipes them way too frequently, even on the least sensitive setting. How hard is it to hit the wiper stalk when you need it?
Adaptive headlights would be nice. The wife's car has them, and on a dark curvy road they do make a difference.

I have adaptive cruise control on my tesla. I also love driving, and I pay attention to everyone around me, 360 degree. Sometimes however I just need to get somewhere and in heavy traffic on the freeway, I find it’s more tiring to constantly be on hair trigger alert to have to slam on the brakes. The tesla does a great job at this. I don’t get a thrill of driving in dense freeway traffic no matter how fun the car. So I find a well executed feature like adaptive cruise saves my energy for actual fun driving.
so much, I’m considering waiting till the 2021 if they add it.
I intend to use the car for road trips as well as fun and spirited driving on back roads.

- Adaptive cruise control. I have this on my S-600 and hardly use it. It is annoying that if the car drifts up in speed (like going downhill) the ACC applies the brakes to maintain (slack of) speed. Any time it gets used, the wheels come out black (they are painted silver.)
- Rain sensing wipers. I have this on my S-600 and in rain where I want 1 sweep every 6-8 second, I get 1 sweep every 1 second--way too fast. Annoying.
- Adaptive cornering lights. I at least enjoy this feature.

I have all thay stuff on my other cars
and I never use them. Just another
feature to drive up the price of cars.
And I can parallel park even a big rig.
So, I don;t need that option either.

I have adaptive cruise in my Audi and love it. Super nice on long drives.

What’s great about the Corvette that continues with the C8 is if you want a no frills sports car, you can have it. If you want something more luxurious, you can have that too. I have long wondered why rain sensing wipers , which have been available for a long time still aren’t offered on the C8. I’ve too thought adaptive cruise would be offered as well as wireless CarPlay among other amenities.
