Any members here that own the new C8 and had a C7 what are the differences with the targa off the C8 vs C7? Is better or worse?

i have the crbon roof on C8 it is light for sure no issues

I have a 2015 Z06 and just received C8. The top-off rides are comparable Did not notice any positive or negative differences

At 50+ MPH is there less buffeting in the C8? I would expect so without the air volume in the rear hatch like the C7...

All the roofs (that aren't glass) on the coupes are carbon fiber.The visible carbon fiber roof is just a better looking version that the factory painted one.

Exactly, why would you pay $2500 for the carbon fiber roof option if it were already carbon fiber. The standard roof is SMC, the transparent roof is polycarbonate.

My question is if there is less buffeting overall than in the C7. Staying under 45mph is okay, but highway speeds require window adjustment and ear plugs.

1. OP is asking about wind buffeting at speed. Is the C8 any better than the C7 was?

2. The standard C8 roof is SMC and it's lighter than the C7 carbon one. For the C7 they were all carbon fiber (other than the clear one of course).
