Ride! And quiet!
Still only have about 200 miles on it. I am amazed at how nice the ride is in touring mode. My car does have mag ride and I am sure helps a lot. But I think the rear engine weight helps to dampen a great deal of bumps. There is no more road noise from the rear tires coming through the rear wheel wells. Thereby making the stereo system sound even better. I think anyone buying the car as a daily driver will be very pleased at how nice it is in traffic the DCT shifts really nice. Just my .02 JD

Thanks for the report. Mine will be a daily driver, sometimes 200 miles in a day. Good ride and low noise are important to cut down on the fatigue.

Mine too! But I drive a lot less than 200 a day. Still I plan on taking this on long road trips which is why I ordered MagRide

Thanks for sharing this! This is exactly I was hoping for, and based on what I read from everywhere, this is the case I have been expecting - quite and smooth ride in touring mode for us to enjoy the music, and am glad to see you confirmed it.

The ride is truly impressive. I put it in the league of the McLaren 720S in another thread—which is the best riding exotic that I have ever driven.

Good news... interesting we've had other posters comment that it's no quieter. However, physics should dictate that it is.... the rear tires are 16" further away from the occupant now and there's more sound dampening material.

Good grief! I have a Z51 C7 without mag ride and I think the ride is just fine. Firm but comfortable. A bit noisy, but with the sound-deadener hatch kit quite bearable. I really love this car.
And then I read this thread
At some point, one of your fine C8s, well cared for, will be mine. And based on what I’ve been reading, I can get all the performance limits of my current Vette, with world-class grand-touring NVH, in the “plain old” Stingray. With an amazing interior, slick new DCT, and rocket 0-60 for giggles every now and then!
The C8 just keeps looking better and better. Just gotta memorize the few angles from which it looks a bit “off” to me and NEVER look at it from them
Thanks, OP...
