Default Lighted door sill option...I like it

Here are a few pics of the optional lighted sill that lights when the doors is opened. Ok, I’m adding it to my list of mods. It can also be factory ordered.

Note: It runs on (2032) batteries which will need to be replaced after a couple of years. To replace the batteries you will have to remove the sill which are held to the car with clips so it’s very easy to do. It comes with the plastic sill remover tool so you don’t scratch the paint when it’s time to replace the batteries.

Looks good. I purchased the same sills, just need to get the car now to install them.

Looks so complicated probably only C7 Z06 drag racers can do it.

I also ordered the illuminated Stingray logo sills. It's something I've always liked on my cars.

Whats it look like without them? Is there a notch in the sill they install into so they are flush?

The C8 comes with a non lighting version that is installed at the factory except it spells out Stingray. The standard sill snaps into four holes in the sill frame. So you simply remove the standard sill and pop the lighted version into the same holes it’s very simple. Take about 10 minutes total.

In one of Rick Conti's latest youtube videos, his tech shows them being installed:
go to 10:52 in the video if you don't feel like watching the entire video.

Hold up, can you adjust and rotate the colors? What does it cost? What is the install like? Asking for a distant relative.
