Default Chevy, please fix this

The car cannot do a burnout...
Yes, I know all about the pull the paddles, floor it, let off, and push the brakes. But as we've seen in multiple videos: that is a difficult process that takes multiple attempts to even get a small burnout and the car has so much rear grip that it just ends up pushing the car forward. This is an issue whether you want to warm up the tires or just do a plain old burnout. This is embarrassing for the car, especially once more people get their hands on them and people try to do burnouts without knowing the procedure.
Don't get me wrong, it was nice what they did will the whole paddle-pull thing so you can rev it whenever you want and "dump the clutch" if you so choose. Since the car is on the new electrical platform and can receive over the air updates, hopefully they can fix this issue.

I don’t see this as a problem to be fixed. They moved the engine o get more traction. It worked Good job Chevy.

It will be easier to do with the traction control completely off. I'll bet a lot of people forget to do that.

Have had some very fast cars over the years, never felt the need beat the **** out of them. Racers do the burnout to get the tires to hook off the line, clearly its not needed here

If someone really wants to simply destroy a set of tires to impress people, they can do the research to figure out how I don't expect this is high on GM's priority list as it serves no real purpose in the car, defeats the effort for more traction to actually go faster and not something the vast majority of owners would ever care to do.

If there is something to fix, it is the wonky e-brake issue where you reportedly can't use track pads without running the risk of confusing the electronics/sensors... that, IMO, is a real fail that potentially impacts everyone going to the track.

I don't think you get it. You need to be able to do a burnout to warm the tires up to get a proper 1/4 mile run. Cold tires are not good for traction no matter the location of the engine.

If you want to do burnouts.....buy a Pro Mod car. Burnouts are for drag racing and the C8 was not intended to be a drag racer.

Don’t see that they need much more traction if the car already will do a full launch control start with no excess wheel spin. Isn’t that the definition of adequate traction?

That's what the water box is there for. Give you just enough lube to get her spinning.

THE C8 HOOKS AND BOOKS. After all that’s what you want a performance car to do. And if you don’t like it simply get slicks (LOL).

From the reports so far, owners are having trouble doing burnouts and they are spinning regardless of the launch control. That is not adequate traction.

I think what OP is alluding to is that if the tires are cold then the launch will be less because the traction control will kick in when the tires lose traction. If the tires are hot then the traction control kick in later and the car will get a better launch.

This is great news! That means I can use all of the acceleration without creating a pubescent commotion that will get me a ticket.
