Yes phil...

So maybe the internal junk diff is the issue then... point is the GT500 with a Tremec dct is crushing it.

The C8 on a 100 shot? Stock tires?

Not so much.

Funny to see how many people believed they would see GM type numbers. The car will be 11.9-12.2 for most drivers, with a small handful hitting 11.5 at great altitudes. $75-$95k to run 12s marketing at its finest

Please quit with the "what if" BS, if you can't report what failed, just keep it to yourself. Look at the post above your last one, turns out it was an axle, no transmission issue at all.

So what? The GT 500 is a pony car. And my TT C5 will waffle stomp a GT 500. So what.

I was wondering how long it would be before you meandered out from under the bridge.

And then you woke up. You will see a C8 in the low 11’s, high 10’s, very soon. Stock motor.

This **** is getting out of hand lol, a car that no one has ever taken down the track before, with a driver that has zero track time in said car makes a slow pass. Big deal lol, read the follow up post from the owner. No launch control used, didn’t even foot brake it just rolled out. As people become more familiar with how to launch this car on a prepped surface times will improve significantly. ECS ran 11.56 with theirs. Still a couple tenths off what the factory says it’s rated to do but the factory cannot guarantee that every car with every driver at any track will produce an 11.1 or 11.2. Calm down people lol

In negative 450ft DA at atco. And it went 11.69 @118.9 after that with launch control and on 100 octane by an experienced deag racer who's owned a ton of corvettes.

But yeah. I'm sure in florida it'll run 3mph faster and half a second lol.

And phil buddy....
They have no idea what else is broke until they put in new axle in it and I can tell you with 100% certainty something inside that trans and diff also took a hit but it's OK if you never wrenched on an independent rear suspension performance car before you wouldn't know these things

MT makes it sound like a piece of cake to do their 11.1@123.2.

People should also stop calling this thing a supercar. Supercars run 9s.

actually MOST supercars do not come close to running 9’s from the factory. Most barely get into the 10’s. You might be mistaking supercars for “HyperCars”.

The C8 has ALREADY run 11.1-11.3. On stock tires. Multiple testers!

So tell me what the difference is between a solid axle diff and an IRS diff with axle flanges. Have you taken apart an IRS diff in a ME with the diff integrated into the transmission? You can break anything, just YouTube Dodge Challenger diff fails, some are spectacular, but 10 times out of 10 there's a huge puddle under them. If you would actually read their description, it is fairly detailed and never said the transmission failed in any way. Oh they said it wouldn't shift into second until they got off the juice and then it did. then while under power in second they fogged it again and broke an axle.

Better a half shaft break to preserve the diff.

Exactly. Not good enough for the C8 haters who have their own agenda. More stupidity surrounding this early stage of end user ownership than a reasonable person could imagine. I've seen guys with their new C7 Z06 get handed high 13 second time slips, means nothing more than lack of experience or mistakes.
