Old farts and Long Beach Red

In my darkened garage, it does look close to maroon (which isn't too bad IMO).
However, on a sunny day, it looks terrific.
I get a lot of compliments BTW.

When I was shopping for a white C7, I found a lbr that worked for me. I explained to my sales girl that Chevy should call it "old timer red". She did not think that would sell. Later, I realized my dad's last car was a maroon Buick and my wife's fathers was a maroon Oldsmobile. Even my ex-wife's husband had a maroon Cadillac! I was 75 at that time. However, my first car was yellow, and I always hated the color. To each his own.

It's a brand new corvette. Buying one is the very definition of old fart. So who cares what people think, really?
At least nobody's calling it I-wish-it-was-a-Ferrari-Red or I-really-wanted-a-McLaren-Orange 😉😅😂👴 though I suppose I'd find that kind of amusing if it happened to me 😂

Saw a neat bumper sticker on a sweet bmw just recently. Wish I took a picture.....
I may be old but I got to see the really cool bands.

Not those! If you have the money to buy a Vette - NOT the cheap New Balance made in China!
These 990v5 are the ones I wear when exercising and on the Tread Mill every day! Made in the USA but $150 to $175 BUT worth the price!

Not sure why it would be considered “old”. I think it’s one of the best looking colors for this car and I’m only 41. It reminds me of McLaren’s Volcano Red, which is one of my favorite colors.

Full disclosure I've had five LBR-ish Covettes starting with the '87 I bought new when I was 26 but I think that anybody who associates anything with various stereotypes does me the favor of saving precious time getting to know them better.
Now, back to the LBR. I have had so many women come up to me over the years telling me how much they loved the color. Men? None that I can remember. Worth it right there.

OLD is always 20 years away! I’m looking forward to 100 and still modding my Corvettes.
with luck, Jim
2021 Z06 AY and if it’s a 4 valve 4 cam Hot V Twin Turbo, I’m going to do the Performance Engine Build!!

Old people are generally wiser than young people-so saying a color is an old man’s color is a compliment in a way. I liked a dark red color when I was 25 and still like a dark red color at 71. I have a crystal red c7 and would get a LBR in a C8.

We're a mish-mosh of black wheels, silver wheels, wild colors, and "old-fart"colors. Go figure . . . and apply your favorite stereotype.

Safety Car
Geography plays a role. This color looks best in sunlight so if you live in Minnesota(like me ) it's just going to be blah a lot of the time, but if you live out west where it's it's sunny I think it's a great color. I think a few of the colors on this car work better in certain places. They have two greys and neither are grey, yellow that's not yellow, and no green (should have Krypton). I think there are bigger fish to fry color wise on the c8 than red. Yes it's kind of an old dude color, but I like it still especially with that Morello interior and black rims. Just my opinion so it's not even worth two cents.

Yup. I am proud to be approaching old-fart status, and am really enjoying the ride.
