I got the battery protection package when I got my C7. Unfortunately the tender didn't work when i went to plug it in the second year. I got the CTEK one off Amazon and haven't had any issues since. I think it was the CTEK MUS 4.3 and I added the comfort plug cig adapter as well.

I believe that the unit you get with the car is a CTEK with a Corvette decal on it.

Forget a trickle charger and drive the car often, not just once in awhile.

Eating massive depreciation while "saving it for the next guy" is inane.

DRIVE IT daily and have fun, no trickle charger required!

Don't wax -- drive, drive, drive -- burn gas!

That’s the 0.8 Amp model, mainly for small batteries like motorcycle batteries or lawn mower batteries. Up through the C7, the Corvette Battery Protection Package included a 3.3 Amp charger (not sure of the specs for the C8 version). CTEK has since upgraded most of their models to 4.3 Amps.

This is the model I would recommend as it’s 4.3 Amps: https://smartercharger.com/collectio...s/ctek-mxs-5-0

Available for less on Amazon -

Dave - the new C8 ctek model IS 4.3 amps. I just got a 19 Z06 and ordered a c7 charger and was sent the new/updated c8 charger. Is there a benefit to the 4.3 amps vs old c7 one at 3.3? Also has reset button and 4 led indicators instead of 2?
