I have one on my C7. Someday when I have a C8, it too will have a trailer hitch. Some years later in the C3 run, a trailer Hitch was actually a factory option.
Back in the day, my brother towed his 18' Taylor ski boat with his '78 C3 Silver anniversary model! Was a good tow vehicle...

Probably would be easiest to get one of the CB's with everything contained in the microphone (ex: Cobra 70). The only 'box' to mount is a tiny 2x2x2 unit that could easily be hidden under the dash or console. Mic can be easily disconnected, leaving no signs of a CB in the interior.

The hard part would be the mounting of the antenna.

I have a CB in my 4X4 and use it when a group of us are out of cell range. I also have a hand held CB and loan it to friends without CB when we go out four wheeling. The range isn't great but it is good enough when you are in a group.
Depending what you want to do with your CB a hand held might be the best option.

I towed a 19 foot boat with my C3, and a 21 foot boat with my C4. Plenty of engine and braking power.

Mounting a CB radio? In the passenger area???

I would imagine that could be very painful on the genitalia--especially in the limited confines of the C8 passenger seat....

Oh..... wait.... Not THAT kind of mounting?? Sorry, never mind.....

Didn't want to start a new thread, but I was guessing these universal fit bars should go right on my C8. I had to send them back because apparently Cragar mag rims don't bolt on to the C8 with 70 series MT tires. Stupid Chevy need to go back to the drawing board.

Yes I am adding a cb. Just decided to put the 96" whip antenna off the front fascia. Also adding an under dash 8 track

I just bought a C5 and am currently measuring for a 102" whip mount at the license plate for my 10/11m radio! It is your car, don't let anyone make fun of your dream. Radio is kick ***!!

If you are going for it, please share pics or sources. We are on our own!
