If the 720s is a supercar, THE C8 IS A SUPERCAR ..Just watch
After watching these two videos you actually realize just how much VALUE there is in a C8 ..
720s ...Plastic everywhere , thin walled welded off the shelf square aluminium tubing MAIN chassis components and FIBERGLASS doors and fenders adhered with DOUBLE STICK TAPE
The ONLY thing exotic on that car is a Carbon Fibre tub and let's talk about that ...
1 . with current technology that tub will cost about 25k to 30K max to manufacture if it were UNIQUE to the 720s but it is NOT unique in fact it is the same tub used in every single McLaren from the P1 to the 570s
2. The engine is the same on all their cars as well, which means all McLarens are same car with a different outer skin and differently tuned engine
A base 720s is $320,000 a Senna is $800,000 and all it is is basically a differently tuned 720s with a different outer skin .... McLaren owners have been complaining for years about a new model every few months making their brand newly delivered cars last gen ...Now we know why just RE-SKINNING cars

That Mac will run rings around the C8. Its one of the fastest vehicles on the road.
Supercars are by definition rare. The Mustang GT500 is not a super car but its as fast as a lot of exotics. The Viper was never considered a super car.
IMO, you should ignore the labels and just drive.

I like almost every part of the c8, and I'll buy a c8 z if the rear looks cleaner, but money aside, i would take a 720 over any model c8 without even thinking about it

When its all said and done the only thing in all the definitions you will find can agree on is they are expensive.
Any other objective qualities of the definitions are all over the place and can be shown to be flawed by example or overcome by time.
The definition literally changes every few years. LMAO

Sure if the corolla comes stock like that. If McLaren made 1 million 720s and sold them for $30k a piece it would still be a supercar. Wouldn't be exotic anymore though.

I agree, and that's why i personally don't ever buy base model cars, there's too many around, gm made the c8 affordable by making so many and that's awesome but I don't like going for a drive and seeing 10 cars the same as mine on the road that day, that's why love vipers, you rarely see them, i honestly see way more Ferrari's and Lambo's here in Vancouver

By definition the 645 hp/ 3300 lb last generation V10 powered Viper that they only built about 1000 a year of, was both rare (exotic) and a supercar.
But it was "NEVER CONSIDERED A SUPER CAR".
The only difference between it and a supercar is it was American made and didn't cost a fortune.
By any other objective characteristic it is/was a supercar.
Its all BS and folks know it.

I don't think the 720 is a super car. They are very easy to buy, several on auto trader or even new sitting in showrooms. The Senna would be a supercar. I think there are a couple for sale but much higher then the MSRP.
The newest Ford GT is a supercar, and Ferrari La Ferrari. Mainly because these cars are selling way above the MSRP is you can find one at all.

Cars like the LaFerrari with performance that is still nearly unmatched have their own category above supercars. They're called hypercars

C8 is a mega car. It can do many things well. Track, daily driver, GT on long road trips.
